What if Jack is actually [sp]Aku, and the whole story is just one big time loop[/sp]
It's his sword, taken form. It was the only thing that could defeat Aku, so there's probably something inside of it that made it possible. It fell into a chasm that glows similarly to the figure.
Perhaps Jack spilled innocent blood or something and that pissed the sword off.
What if Jack is actually [sp]Aku, and the whole story is just one big time loop[/sp]
Well we've already gotten Aku's origins as the last shred of some formless cosmic evil that the gods battled.
That was fucking Awesome. OH SHIT THEY EVEN HAVE THE CARTOON NETWORK THINGY AT THE END.
well regardless if [as] is making it now, it will always be a Cartoon Network show. That's why Harvey Birdman attorney at law doesnt have any [as] shit at the end, because CN used to show it.
this episode gave me the blue balls babe. honestly felt way to short as being spoiled by shows sometimes having an extra 30 mins or play two episodes back to back as a premier. So saw the tv and got to see next episode's trailer.

Great episode. Can't wait to see more.
I like how Jack got loot at the end.
Actually him picking up scat bot's stuff makes me think he also took the electro-spear and his guns from dudes who have tried to beat him earlier. (I mean, Captain Obvious here, but it's an interesting change to see how Jack lives without his sword) Shows Jack still can kick major ass without his sword, going from scavenging weapon to weapon
maybe it was just too brief but the aku voice on the phonecall just sounded so far off, i know Mako Iwamatsu has passed sadly but the replacement didn't even sound close. i need my dose of AAA HAAAA HAAAA, FOOOLISH SAMURAIII
Perhaps it was because he's on the other end of the line? That's my hope, it had to be distorted enough to sound like a phone call
I don't get it, why these bitches praying to a statue of statue of Aku when he's got a phone.
Fangirls man, they'll worship anything.
Fangirls man, they'll worship anything.
Yo Aku here's seven daughters gonna go kill the samurai (p.s. plz notice me)
Perhaps it was because he's on the other end of the line? That's my hope, it had to be distorted enough to sound like a phone call
I think it may be this. The voice is Greg Baldwin. When he replaced Mako on Legend of Korra as General Iroh, he was really close. I think it was just a distortion thing. Then again, it's been a long time.
Yo Aku here's seven daughters gonna go kill the samurai (p.s. plz notice me)
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Aku doesn't even know they exist. I also have a feeling [sp]something will happen between Ashi and Jack that'll cause them to work together or even become allies, maybe after realising Aku doesn't know or give a shit about her or her sisters. She's the only one of the daughters given a name so far which seems likes there's gonna be some focus on her.[/sp]

I find it interesting that the [sp]daughters of Aku seem to be praying to an altar like Aku has abandoned the world for a time, and are under the belief that fulfilling their mission in killing jack will bring him back. Meanwhile, roboscatman has Aku on speed dial like it's no big deal Makes me wonder if they've been in seclusion so long in their training that aku just doesn't remember them, or that they're just a long line of unaffiliated cultists who've gone too far. Could end up with Ashi realizing their life mission was misguided fanatacism, causing her to question the mission and aid jack in a dire situation, while the others who were less individualistic/questioning in this intro keep pushing forward with their mission[/sp]

Maybe the other 6 will help jack instead lol.
RobotScatman: Yo Aku listen up! Aku: New phone who dis?
I really want to rewatch old Samurai Jack after this, i've enjoyed more than i thought i would.
Aku's just avoiding them so he doesn't have to pay child support.
Aku's laugh at the start of the episode was almost spot on though
ill have to check it out, i missed the first min of the episode cus i watched it on the live stream
Aku's laugh at the start of the episode was almost spot on though
That could well have been sampled from the old episodes though.
Uhhhg I missed the stream. I want to watch it, but I don't have a cable sub to view the episode out right. Looks like they are streaming previous seasons now.

That episode has definitely got me wanting more. Hopefully this is the start of Genndy returning to 2d animation.
That was amazing. Fucking hell, it was everything of the old series, completely intact. Visual style, narrative, delivery, voices, atmosphere. So fucking great.
liberal usage of CGI, i guess it cant be avoided in 2017
liberal usage of CGI, i guess it cant be avoided in 2017
who cares, it's not like it's breaking aesthetic. if anything it enhances it because the animation looks better than a hand drawn bike would have
