Cheap as fuck whey isolates mixed with water?
Been thinking about that but the (only) whey that I have here is high in calories so I don't know if it'll be good.
Also I find it pretty strange that Optimum Nutrition has retailers fucking EVERYWHERE including shit like Vietnam, Kuwait and the UAE but of course they do not have a retailer in Estonia.
Fucking A
With WATER?? CHEAP whey isolate?? Are you trying to poison us or something :P
With WATER?? CHEAP whey isolate?? Are you trying to poison us or something :P
EAS whey is good and not too costly. And if you drink whey for the taste you should probably get ahead of the game and order some sexy lingerie before you finish turning into a woman

How high in calories? is it an isolate or a concentrate?

It's a MAXIMIZE 3-Whey Complex so it's probably not an isolate.
Also 368 calories per serving (2 scoops)
the EAS stuff is like 130cal a serving and it's 1 scoop for 23g of brotein. 3g carbs
[editline]28th January 2011[/editline]
Decided against getting a weight gainer because if I added 1 scoop of serious mass in place of one of my protein shakes i would only be getting like 450 extra calories per day which I could just as easily squeeze in somehow else without paying $40
Guess I'll have to drive to the capital and look for an isolate...
What I meant was that you can`t switch your metabolism from meso to ecto or endo or any of the other ways around. You can change it a bit but you cannot just change types (which is what he said you could do). I know your body adjusts to changes but you can`t just go from being skinnyfat to being an easygainer just because you change how you eat.
I never said you can switch it just like that, another state of the art assumption by you. I know exercise is a part of doing this as well, but anyone you ask will agree, fixing the diet comes first.
The reason I'm being so defensive is because of the way you're coming off.

Where did you get the idea that you can switch it AT ALL from?
It sounds like the biggest broscience I've ever heard, honestly.
Yo Perfumly, you seem like you know what you're talking about
hows about a pic of your bod to see your knowledge incarnate?
I've posted my progress a few times, but here.

Currently about 168lbs though.

Also ignore whatever it is in the background of the first picture making it look like I have a 3 inch long nipple. I just noticed it recently and can't unsee it but it's hilarious

You realize that ectomorphic, mesomorphic, and endomorphic are body types based pretty much on how your body utilizes nutrients? That's kind of what your metabolism is - it's how your body utilizes nutrients to make fat (energy for later) or produce energy with it. Eating 2 or 3 meals a day like most people will cause your body to slow down energy production and store more fat, whereas eating a meal every 2-4 hours will speed your metabolism up over time (OFC you cannot just do that in one week it takes a while combined with proper exercise and you do need to be eating healthy balanced meals and such).
IDK what broscience is but look it up and you'll get this answer from any reliable source. If it isn't true you can change body types at all then okay, but I'm very sure metabolism changes and so are experts all over the place. If experts are teaching broscience then I guess I'm happy to be called a broscientist.

no but do you get as much protein as you need in a day?
most likely not
i have no idea.
i'm just trying to get _a_ shape and become fit. i'm 195cm and 90kg. i try to eat as much food with low gi as possible. i'd rather not look like arnold (probably bad reference) because i could probably never love myself

On that then I agree with you.
Also, just wondering VQ how do you determine how much protein you need? how much you intake anyways? Because it seems you just told the guy it's impossible to gain weight without it.
I said that it`s very likely he does not get enough of it. An average person`s meals do not have enough protein for bodybuilders, even if you`re a beginner. I`ve heard everywhere from 1 gram per kg to 2 grams per pound, I just have around 30g a day with a scoop and I end up getting around 150~ although I read of a lot of people who workout like crazy that they eat 300g of protein a day and they swear by it

450 extra calories+carbs+amino acids+protein=will probably cost around 40 dollars if you do that everyday for a month anyways?

you still can`t go from being skinnyfat to an easy gainer just by changing how many times a day you eat

Sorry but that's still broscience.
If you're an ecto your arms and legs won't magically shrink, your BF won't kick up to 20% and muscle won't appear out of nowhere.

That's because you need to stop being angry, everybody loves you here man.
i don't understand
i look bigger than you, perf but you say you can lift like... ridiculously heavy weights
i don't know if i could lift what you're lifting as i have no idea what my max is cause i only have 7.5kg bells, i think it's time to buy a bar like i said earlier

Being bigger than him is not that relevant to his current strength. Almost two seperate things.
o, i c
So if I'm around 70kg it's 175g of protein per day for me?
How in the fucking hell am I supposed to get that without using supps and shit.
this will fucking KILL my wallet whenever I'm gonna start my cut because protein is even more important while cutting if you don't want your muscle to disintegrate.
It should be easy IMO. Just add tuna/milk quark/cottage cheese on top of your regular meals.
A 500 gram can of milk quark costs around an euro here in Finland. You can mix it with anything. It has 50 grams of protein and you can easily eat the whole can at once, just mix in some juice concentrate and fruits. It has no carbs or fat.
500 grams of cottage cheese has like 75 grams of protein and little carbs and fat. It costs 2-3€ and tastes great alone, though you can do anything with it.
200 grams of tuna in oil costs around 2,5€ (not the euroshopper crap) and has around 50 grams. It also gives you the good fats you need.
You might wanna spread the protein intake steadily though.
And remember that the faster you cut, the more muscle you lose.
A question about taking back pictures:
Do people flex their upper-back when they take shouler/bicep pictures from behind?
If they do, then how the hell do they do it? I've been trying to figure out for quite a while already because my upper back always looks like shit.
perfumbro, i have to know man. i have to know your military press secret. how do you do it bro, i can barely lift 50kg to my shoulders. you have to tell me it's been bugging me all week BRO
tell me bro, you have to tell me man how do you do it i just don't understand perfumbro i JuST DON'T UNDERSTAND
[editline]29th January 2011[/editline]
i need pictures, or a video or something.
Do you guys do military press in front of your head or behind?
just got home from 15 kilometres cross country skiing
i feel like shit
Do you guys do military press in front of your head or behind?
Having seen a lot of buff guys do military press in the gym, I've learned to alternate, like they do. Front, back, front, back, front, back, and you get the picture.
Do you guys do military press in front of your head or behind?
i do a little bit of both but more in front
Do you guys do military press in front of your head or behind?
Front, my friend does back but i'm worried it'll put strain on my shoulders if I go alittle too far.
I don't know whether or not to take brotein shakes, some guys I go to the gym with have some bad stretch marks from brotein :(
Protein's good for you if you work out. You'll only get stretch marks if you bulk up and gain mass fast.
