Something that most people forget that FORM IS EVERYTHING. Fuck heavy weights if you can't lift them properly. Good form all through your reps > shitty form with heavy reps
5 one arm pushups

QFT.
Nice progression in 6 months. Whats your body type ? Easy gainer or hard gainer ?
I'm probably going to be getting surgery on it to make my hip normal looking and not like I can bare children on one side of my body.
If its just a minor issue then save yourself the trouble of surgery.

Well a mechanical issue I get is I have to go extreme opposite of pidgeon toed during squats, and it makes me run really fucking weird. (One leg kicks out really far, I look like a tard)

I seem to look pretty normal when I put all of my weight on my left foot though.
[editline]7th February 2011[/editline]
and great progress Nikarial, What is your height and weight?
75ish kg, 5'10
You are my weight and 2" shorter, lol
[editline]7th February 2011[/editline]
I will never understand why I look so small at this weight
I dunno, you dont look small, like, you can tell you workout
start eating a lot of take away :p
[editline]7th February 2011[/editline]
I want to start focusing on my diet, plays a big part in lifting but ive been neglecting it a bit. I sometimes even get full pizzas for myself..If I didn't play sport/lift i think id get pretty fat. Need to start eating healthier.

Bone density ?
Oh yeah, been trying jack3d lately..AWESOME energy but the come down is just not worth it..
I've been using NOXplode, I really like it so far. I have to take about a serving and a half now though
[editline]7th February 2011[/editline]
and I don't have a come down from it, though beware you probably won't fall asleep within 5 hours after taking it
For some reason my traps look real nice...
strange considering i've never done a shrug in my entire life.
I have honestly never worked my traps in my entire life.
except I did a set of shrugs once a few months ago.
[editline]7th February 2011[/editline]
This is another one of those days when I skip school then go back to lift
for some reason my shoulder workout seems to apparently work my traps more than anything else
Just had an amazing arm day, went really hard.
My legs still slightly hurt from last friday's leg workout (even though my grip gave way before my legs when doing the squats with 2x19kg dumbbells)
Yeah my legs hurt too from last Fridays workout. It feels good though.
About to go do chest, wish me luck.
Holy fuck I surprised my self by maxing 235 on squat and 115 on clean and jerk this morning.
yes.
Just maxed my deadlift at 365.
Gym was closed today, I was not a happy chap at all.
is it a bad idea to work the same muscle group every day? I used to bench everyday, but alternate everything else
I hate bench press, it fucks with my shoulders. Wasn't even lifting that heavy either. I'll stick to fly's and flat bench dumbbell press.
is it a bad idea to work the same muscle group every day? I used to bench everyday, but alternate everything else
Yeah that's one way to not get any gains. You should have atleast a days break before doing any workout again, and then it should be on a different muscle group.
for example
mon - back/biceps
tue - rest
wed - chest/tri
thur- rest
friday - leg/whatever else
sat - rest
sun - rest
Also remember to change up your routine, even if it's by going slower, adding/decreasing weights (doing fewer/less reps) if you start to see that you're not getting much gains.
That isn't really true Nikarial. Try telling that to my Dad lol.
:smith: working a muscle group only once every 7 days doesn't sound smart at all

It's the general rule that most people go by, not everyone of course.
You don't wanna risk over training your muscles
:smith: working a muscle group only once every 7 days doesn't sound smart at all
The main thing is to not do the same thing every day, have atleast a few days break if you're going to train the same muscle group constantly

Overtraining?
Lol...
What's funny..?
Over training/working, you know what I mean
If you're lifting weights you don't want to be (for example) working your biceps every day without rest or you'll get nowhere
Same goes for every other muscle
Training makes you weaker, resting makes you stronger ;)
:smith: working a muscle group only once every 7 days doesn't sound smart at all
Try this routine.
Monday: Bi's/Tri's
Tuesday: Chest
Wednesday: Back
Thursday: Shoulders
Friday: Legs
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: Rest
Repeat.

it requires a lot of knowledge in training, nutrition and rest if you for example want to do multiple workouts per day, like some athletes. it's easier to just let the muscle group rest the next day
Yeah, you let that one main muscle group rest. But that doesn't mean you stay home the next day and don't train at all. You get your ass in their and train another muscle group.
