Lol he used to be really tiny but then I got him in on my work out schedule and climbing and it's done wonders for him. He also does MMA. He's my favorite little Mexican
Started going to gym. Worked on my back last Thursday and legs on Friday. Now I don't feel lower-back pain but my legs hurt a lot; the pain is resisting me to move, it's like bodyweight isolation exercise. I also began doing deadlifts and squats but only 60% - 80% of my weight, I weigh around 63kg(139lbs). Friend - long-time bodybuilder - claimed that deadlifting & squatting will curve my spine as it did to my other bodybuilding buddy. Last time I checked my spine was 90% straight while in Autumn it was 20% curved. Also I'm doing supersets, so that explains the pain. If supersets are new to you - they're basically multiple exercises packed in 1 set. eg: 1 Set - 10x Bench Press then 10x Dumbbell Curls, 10x Dumbbell Tricep Exensions and 10x Dumbbell Military Press and then a break. This way I keep my time in gym short - from 30 minutes to one hour. I test my tiredness by lifting my arms to eyes-level and wait; sometimes it's a few seconds and half a minute. As for my diet, I try to eat as much as my stomach allows me to. That'd be 4 to 5 times a day and enough to feel full stomach. Doing so I managed to add 4 kilograms in half a week until my metabolism decided to destroy my gains. Oh, I do core exercises with 5 sets every morning and before-bed. By the way, I ate 380g of cottage cheese while writing this. Hope I'll lift at least 120% of my weight by May.
I have an aesthetics crew too VQ, u jelly? Three friends who lift with me who are about my size only lower bf% and still bulkan with me.

I just got my first container of ON 100% whey classic in the mail. I got the 5 pound one and it's fucking ginormous. 5 pounds doesn't sound like much, but it's taking up half of my cupboard.
I asked my ruined-spine comrade how he managed to curve it - he said he put too much weight to a barbell.
well, did he did it properly? a lot of people in this threads put over 300 pounds on a barbell how much weight did he use and wht was he doing? He had or still has that gym waist belt to protect his lower-back. He's actually a good gymwolf, he also had a trainer who is also a successful bodybuilder. I also feel that pressure, like my spine is about to shatter any moment, when I squat. I also do it without protection belt. I come to gym with a small bottle of water and that's it. I tried my 1RM deadlift in Autumn and lifted 85kg(187lbs). That's over 120% of my actual weight. I also felt that pain and didn't go for a second rep.

I only do those rarely, they are not very useful unless you are a powerlifter. If I do heavy weights, I do use my friend`s belt and it helps quite a bit lately. Try looking more carefully at your form with squats and deadlifts. Last time I deadlifted I was doing 300 pounds for reps and I was fine without a belt. You just need to work your way up, but if it`s that bad, just wear a belt. Also, strengthen your core muscles, they play a HUGE part in deadlifts and squats.
That's what I'm trying - push-ups, crunches, sit-ups, planks every morning and before-bed. They also gave me a nice definition and got more strong; I stopped going to gym for a month and start working on push-ups and planks, I started seeing my abs in a month and started bench pressing 50kg(110lbs) instead of 40kg(88lbs).
I'm thinking about taking some Mars Volta to the gym. I can't stop listening to De-Loused as of late.
Great band and a great album. They're so intense and it really helps me get in the zone

I read that those are THE best overall ab exercise. [editline]12th February 2011[/editline]
Great band and a great album.
In gym I do planks, renegade rows and leg raises for ab exercises, I usually do it when I'm done with my main workout, sometimes I skip it. Now it's time to invest money in a shaker and whey protein. Also do you know any tips to improve in pull-ups?

Yeah, I'm gonna try and do them. It's how I also improved my push-ups: I jumped from 5 to 20 a set.
wait how many posts until a thread locks 5000?
in what
Oh, sorry it took so long for me to clarify. 30lbs worth of killed babies. I maxed out at 60 when I visited my cousin in the hospital.
