I'll be really jealous if you get an opportunity to do outdoor swimming. It's just so much better, doesn't leave your lungs all fucked with astma from all the chlorine fumes. You going to be swimming yards or meters? We alternated between 25m and 50m on different days, but swimming yards is so much fun 'cause it's a little bit shorter. And yay, 2kg from being overweight by BMI standards!
oH GOD I AM OVERWEIGHT BY BMI STANDARDS NOOOO [editline]15th February 2011[/editline]
Today I almost tore my shoulders after attempting dips, pull-ups and doing push-ups. Also, successful chest/shoulders day; my arms hurt for now.
Yeah when I started doing dips they would really hurt my shoulder for some reason, but it stopped after I got used to them I think [editline]15th February 2011[/editline]
has anyone tried jack3d? if so is it as awesome as people are saying it is? I'm thinking of maybe picking some up. until then though, whey is the whey to go.
idk I think most preworkout supps are the same it all has to do with the content, just read the content of each of the good ones and decide for yourself like some people don`t want too much beta-alanine, or sugar or caffeine so

Eventually i may start timing it to try and get that competitive drive to get better. My town has a lot of pools (2 big lakes, about 5 outdoor pools, and 2 or 3 indoor pools. All run by the city.), but most of the outdoor ones get pretty clogged with stupid kids in the summer. You can go early for lap swimming before the kids, but that involves me getting up early. So, i'm hoping that the neighborhood near mine will let me use them. [editline]15th February 2011[/editline]
I had my comp and she was in the bathroom when I posted. She told me that she talked to her ex to tell him she needed space and wanted to move on. So now we'll see where it goes. All in all V-day was a success. Today is rest day. I hate rest days so fucking much especially bc i weighed 179.4 lb and was so fucking close to my goal of 180. I'm going to get there this week god damn it.
We're shooting for a similar goal, just from opposite directions. :hfive:
Swam some more. Yesterday we actually did ~4,200 yards. This practice we did 4,150 yd. My lungggs. Hnng.

has anyone used those big this ass ropes for exercise like the battling ropes or anything? I never did get any word back from anyone. I would hate to drop a bit of change on a bunch of rope and be stuck with some light weight rope that i can't really use.
Chest day was pretty meh. Burnt out benching 8 reps of 150lbs lowered to 145 for the other sets but only got like6 reps on the last set.

Nice, shortie. Today was rest day for me so I played tennis for like two and a half hours because the weather was so nice. My ankle fucked up, though and I´m now icing it and elevating it. I hope it will get better before I get to leg day and for climbing this weekend

Guys did Arnie really invent the Arnold press?
i'd really appreciate it if someone would recommend a bar bell set to me, i've decided these body weight exercises and dumb bell circuits aren't enough time to get swole
I suppose you could visit various garage sales and buy an inexpensive set fom some fat dude who realized he does nothing with them :p Plateweighs are also good if you like fiddling around with them.

Did chest excercises of today with two 20kg dumbells. Worked pretty well, could only do 3 sets of 8 (elbows tucked, normal and narrow) plus 20ish chest flies with two 6,5 kg dumbells. Got my strength measured in physiotheraphy, only my grip is lower than average (weak). My grip would need to be twice as strong to be considered normal :p
Back, Bi's, and forearms today. Hopefully going to preach curl 55 (maybe 60) plates on each side today

Is anybody following any training books? I came to a conclusion that these books are basically a diary of authors' progresses.
Is anybody following any training books? It doesn't really have any stories or anything. There are a few workouts in it that give you plans for various goals, and then some charts in the back you can copy and fill out to keep track of it all.
