what is the concept behind bulking? get fatter than you really need then use excess stores of energy to get S W O L E ?
Ur gonna get diabetes
No, just eating more than enough so you don't have to guesstimate the perfect amount of calories to bulk on with only muscle. I'm referring to dirty bulking of course.
I don't think gulping down 7 cans of soda gives you any advantage in terms of muscle gain. ... But it's fun though
It depends on what you're aiming for: Strength is about 3-5 reps Mass gaining is about 6-8 Endurance is about 9-12
I'd say endurance is like 20+ and mass is higher reps too.
nice, but whenever I use that I feel uncomfortable lol, I myself prefer the EZ bars but you`re gonna be swole as fuck doing hammer curls [editline]18th February 2011[/editline] post vids bro I have never in real life ever seen anyone do a proper 1 handed pull up, as in: -from relaxed 180 degree arm at bottom -all the way to the top -minimal swing -other hand not helping
Only managed them with my other hand holding my wrist, ill try it without on monday and if i can ill try and post a vid
isn't a one handed pull up like the hardest thing to do
Took a few days break and my body got wider. Monday is chest workout day, can't wait.
I like how my body gets wider in the chest region and slimmer in the waist and then just balloons in every directions around my lower stomach :P
isn't a one handed pull up like the hardest thing to do
Hard, not impossible. I started training for OHPU a few days ago. I wrap a towel around my bar and grab it with my other hand so I can "assist" my pull-hand. I'm also starting one hand lat pull down thing today.
sorry to break it to you, but losing 20-30 pounds by the summer is a hard task itself-and maintaining your arms is even harder. the slower you lose weight, the more muscle you keep. 30 pounds over a couple months /= slow in all reality, your arms will probably get quite a bit smaller after the weight loss
One of my friends lost about 30lbs in 3 weeks. Though he went from eating junk food all the time and not doing anything to eating nothing but salads and fruits and doing cardio all day. That much weight that fast isn't good for your body though.
50 yard freestyle. 29.18 seconds. 50 yard backstroke. DQ. 42.38 seconds. (I screwed up at the turn) 50 yard breaststroke. 40.08 seconds. (Slow as Hell) 50 yard butterfly. 38.47 seconds. (Too many mistakes)
isn't a one handed pull up like the hardest thing to do
I always thought that Human Flag thing was the hardest. I can't imagine being able to hold myself horizontally :( [editline]19th February 2011[/editline]
50 yard freestyle. 29.18 seconds. 50 yard backstroke. DQ. 42.38 seconds. I look like a man with no legs floundering in the ocean during a storm.
ALRIGHT HERE I COME. Mostly what I have is a personal concern. Put simply, I'm underweight. When I started working out three years ago with seriousness and actual dedication, I weighed 125lbs., I'm 5'7". I put on 5lbs., kept working out, put off ten pounds to 120lbs. somehow when I started college up. I then put on another 5lbs. and I've been at 125lbs. again with muscle this time for the last . . . year and a half or so. So now I come back to college again, still working out and what have you. Today, the gym being empty and all, I decided to weigh myself naked (Teehee) since I don't have a weight counter at home and these things are far more accurate anyway. I inch the weights around on the bar, find a perfect balance and - What the fuck, 110lbs. A HUNDRED AND TEN POUNDS. This is what I look like; http://img695.imageshack.us/f/p00041i.jpg/ I'm tugging my pants to give you an idea of how thin I am. Those are size 30 pants around the waist in, uh, Canadian size I guess. What is this shit.
What the hell man. Just eat more. It can't be that hard, right?
I'm already taking in a 3,500~ calorie diet daily, not just on my gym days. It's expensive to maintain in this shithole and I can't really afford to eat more.

Peanut butter, full of calories and protein and pretty cheap too.
Allergic to peanuts. Not really but that'd fuck up the suggestion. I'll try . . . eating . . .peanut butter with my cereal and pizza. Yes. Peanuts as a whole are good, right? I'm in love with them.
change metabolism with me plz

I can never understand how one couldn't get enough calories in a nowaday world with all the pizzas and hamburgers around :P I can't even understand why anyone would want to gain weigh, having fought AGAINST it my whole life :P EDIT: note that you mustn't think I've ever eaten pizzas or hamburgers in such a fashion that it'd have me gain weigh, it's all the fault of home food + sandwiches + not moving on my part (getting fat)

Clean bulking 2. Called being an Ectomorph And for the love of god stop typing smiles after each line
Because Gym closes really early on Saturdays; it was pretty full. so my work out was a bit sloppy. like having to work with more weight because I couldn't find smaller dumbbells, or plates, thus a lot less reps. is my work out still effective even if I did lousy six reps on the preacher curls, but with 20 KG (two 10 kg plates) When I'm normally used to 10 KG? (Two 5 kg plates) I got two injuries from that, on the neck and shoulders, I don't know how it happened. Gah I hate saturdays. :frown: [editline]19th February 2011[/editline]
At first I fought against fat compulsively as much as you do. Pardon me about using smilies, I just suck at passing out my intended emotions via text, hence the smilies (insert tongue in the cheek one here to lessen the seriousness). I can easily imagine injuring my shoulder and neck by doing curls. I'd only need to try and lift the weigh with my shoulder as well as my bicep, straining my neck at the same time.

Some guys can bench much more than I can, but I can do the same set with lower weights and higher reps as they can because I've done sets with more reps (though it's not probably the only factor).
