Why are squats done with a barbell on your shoulders instead of hanging dumbells/square cage held with your handgrip? Is it because then you don't need such a strong grip or what?
well last time I did squats I was doing 250 pounds
I don't think I can hold 125 pounds per hand for reps, and not just because of the grip lol
if you only have 3 days than you`re going to have to combine some things, but it would be better to add a day or two to workout and make it a bodypart split since you're not a beginner
chest tris
back bis
shouulders abs(?)
I've just always thought it was better to work more than one muscle at a time, and doesn't most shoulder exercises also use triceps? Like shoulder press etc.?
I've just always thought it was better to work more than one muscle at a time, and doesn't most shoulder exercises also use triceps? Like shoulder press etc.?
yes but not as much as chest exercises use triceps
you need more rest bro you can't have just 2 days
oh and wtf, the Car people got a section and we didn't? more than half their posts are random shittalk, I know because I used to post there everyday before I made this thread

Yes but it´s kind of hard to make a three day upper body exercise because of the complimentary muscles.
I do about what he said but i put chest and shoulders together and then work tri´s with abs. It´s just preference

I was also wondering why there is a fucking automobile section. What the hell. There should be a general health and fitness section methinks.
I made the very first Cars thread :D

Yeah I remember that. Your legacy shall live on.
And yeah it`s all up to preference which bodyparts you work, as long as chest is with shoulders or triceps and biceps should usually be with back. But how long have you been working out?

He is 30 years old and claims natural, he has been very cut from a young age and has been working out seriously for 10 years, oh and he is 5'8, so there is a good possibility he is natty
okay, what do i do for triceps? i've been doing reps of a bell behind my head, is this enough?
okay, what do i do for triceps? i've been doing reps of a bell behind my head, is this enough?
Just that? No. I recommend skull crushers and close gripped bench and dips
okay, what do i do for triceps? i've been doing reps of a bell behind my head, is this enough?
you can do skullcrushers or reverse grip skullcrushers, and tricep cable extensions with the rope, you can do dips on a bench (put your hands on one bench, feet on another, then get someone to put weights on your knees/legs and do dips)

damnit binsky
my ideal is actually a little smaller than that guy, around the chest area anyway
I would totally look like that guy. He's fucking perfect. What the hell. I'm jelly but also sexually attracted. I don't know what to believe. It's like a battle between my gay side and my manly straight work out side

Or if his gym has a weight belt that he can throw plates on. Love you, bb
i don't go to the gym, i work out at home
Well you could potentially buy a weight belt. I don't think they're too expensive. Do you have plates, dumbells, bench etc?
what happened to my 170 posts?!?!
FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU :byodood:
lol what about VQ, he must of lost like a thousand
pretty much, my other posts are all from cars thread, oh well I guess it`s Garry`s forum and drugs discussion is way more important than some bullshit chat about healthy lifestyle and working out
[editline]24th February 2011[/editline]
I kind of want to incoporate a calisthenics day into my workout but then I won`t have enough rest :(
calisthenics is crazy good for getting a ripped look, it works all the stabilizer muscles and other muscles that don`t get worked with normal working out
[editline]24th February 2011[/editline]
anyone remember what page we posted all those hot girls on

How do you get shouldn't it be something like chest/shoulder/tri instead? There's no point in having more than 2 days if I'm going to use the same muscles on several days, right?

Right, so if you have chest shoulders, back bis, and tris and abs you should be good to go, how come you don't do legs though?

People should really learn to importance of doing lower-body
Guys, for the new thread, I thought we should post pics of all the people that are regulars in this thread in the OP: yes/no?

I don't do legs because I don't know anyone who can teach me the correct technique, and work out at home. Shit like squats and deadlifts looks like they could seriously hurt your back (especially deadlifts) and I don't want to do that by doing them wrong. Also, I hate it when my legs are sore if I have to ride my bike to school etc. My legs are alright compared to my upper body as well.
I exercise the glamour muscles.

thats a good idea. just ask people to send you pictures and 1rms if they want to be included then they can pm new ones when they feel like it, and you can change them. like we did in the cars thread
Guys, for the new thread, I thought we should post pics of all the people that are regulars in this thread in the OP: yes/no?
i'm cool with this
Okay so if you want your pic in the OP post any pic of yourself you want, preferably img thumb, and if you want with your 1rm for
squats
deadlifts
bench

What you could do is watch a video of correct form and then make a video of yourself doing a set of deads/squats and see how you did with the form.

makes sense, why don't you just try with really low weight, record it on video, and post it here?
