what part of it don't you understand?
I don't understand why someone would shave their chest. Idk maybe it's just me.
Hmm, would I qualify if I posted a pic where my flab isn't too visible?
As an update: I can almost curl with 20kg (44lbs) dumbbells in each arm one time now!
EDIT: I look terribly odd in this pic for some reason :( Skewed or something.

Just wondering if I have the right diet. I eat about 5 meals of 2500 calories a day making sure to get 150g of Protein.
I do 8 reps with 14kg for a few rounds before having to downshift for a few rounds.
Took me forever to find this thread, and goodbye 200ish posts! I think V2 should have a guide to taking pics of yourself because that shit is hard.

You might want to eat a bit less. The protein part is good but 2500 calories might be just a tad too much, but if you are steadily losing a good amount of weight each week than don`t change it. If you have stopped losing weight, decrease the calories by a bt, maybe 250 calories less. What kind of foods do you eat?

Also I suggest doing what binsky said and making a beginner's workout to the OP.
But also a workout program to those who don't have gym access.
I'll close this thread and we can make V2 once there's enough new content and stuff compiled since I don't believe threads autolock anymore. But I might be completely wrong

What I've actually found helps adding mass but is arguably unsafe is doing a weight a bit too high for you to maintain perfect form. I have sloppy form when I do high weight but I lower it down slow and explode up. I only got slightly injured once when I first started working out and I pulled a muscle. It seems to tear the muscles better/faster etc.
I've been getting shoulder gains like fuark by sacrificing a little bit of form for a little bit of weight.

Yeah I do that every once in a while but with shoulders I`m always too afraid, since I already get at least one shoulder injury every few months even with proper form :saddowns:
[editline]25th February 2011[/editline]
check ur PM perfum~~~~~
Yeah I have no idea how I manage to never injure my shoulders. When I did pull a muscle it was when I was only doing like 50lbs on military press lol. Since then it's gone up pretty fast (like 100pounds in 5 months wtf)

fuaaark, how often do you do dat dere shoulder press?
and what routines were you thinking of for v2
I do dat dere shoulder press once a week, 3 sets of 8 usually but sometimes I do seated DB press instead since the barbell is the mother of asymmetries.
And I dunno, just a beginner weightlifting routine and a beginner bodyweight routine.
so routine 1:
Chest/tris:
-bench (switch these up between incline decline and flat)
-incline dumbbell bench (switch these up between incline decline and flat)
-chest flys
-skullcrushers
-close grip bench
-tricep extensions/dips
Back/bis
-wide grip pullups/pulldowns
-t bar rows
-deadlifts
-hammer curls
-preacher curls
-isolation curls
Shoulders/legs
-shoulder press
-shoulder fly
-shrugs
-squats
-calf raises
and for the bodyweight folks
Chest/tris:
-wide grip pushups
-dips
-close grip pushups
Back/bis
-pullups
-chinups
-wide grip pullups
Legs/shoulders
-bodyweight squats
-single leg squats
-handstand pushups
-find 2 heavy objects and shrug them (lol)

there is quite a bit of good info there but quite a bit of wrong info as well so idk, one of the reasons I made mistakes when I started working out is because I read forums like that where half the posts are troll/uninformed/broscience posts
Also, anyone got the link to that site with all the exercises
