wow, so this kid that my sister is going out with is going to attempt to beat me. he is 2 months older than me, 3 inches taller, and weighs like 70 lbs more, only problem is he lives on the other side of america what should i do (since this is a body building thread)
Like, assault you? Do you mean like, beat you in muscle?
What's the best way to shed fat? I weightlift 3 days a week, but haven't done cardio in a while because I had a knee injury. Is cardio 3 days a week (3 of my off days, probably tuesday, thursday, saturday) a good way to shed fat WITHOUT losing muscle/mass?
Like, assault you? Do you mean like, beat you in muscle?
beat me as in walk up to me an wale on me with his fists. im not sure whether or not it would be assult though, and even if it is, it doesn't matter since we are both technically minors. (we are both 17)
Make sure he hits you first. Then you can plead self-defense.
what, when i kill him? ok btw he shops at hot topic and wears v neck shirts and has matted black hair that goes down to his shoulders, imo he doesn't stand a chance but hes 70 lbs heavier than me so who knows [editline]19th October 2010[/editline] rate me dumb ok, but if you don't agree that kid is a faggot then you deserve 1000 dumbs
I've decided to lose some weight and from what I gather it seems like I should be doing a lot of cardio and cut them carbs. I'm currently at 207 pounds, 6ft1, and I can't really do long cardio workouts because I never really exercised because of my asthma so my cardiovascular system and lungs are a complete mess. I'm confused.
start small, and build it up just a bit everyday
For weighted crunches, I believe that anywhere from 10-15 is pretty good, seeing as your core is pretty much like every other muscle, if you have enough weight, 15 reps should be pretty good. And for all the other non weighted exercises try and do as many as you can really and then start over. For example, for non weighted I do crunches to one side 20 times, then to the other 20 times, then down the middle 20 times, then bicycles for 20. [editline]18th October 2010[/editline] if 15 is not enough you can move the weight up
Alright thanks. Also how many meals/day for bulking?
Alright thanks. Also how many meals/day for bulking?
It all depends really, I guess the widely accepted amount is 3-4 meals/day, then snacks in between (PB sandwiches, nuts, fruits). What I do, is wake up, have a big breakfast, go to university then after my first class have a banana with a pb sandwich, then go workout, then have a granola bar and protein shake then have a big lunch, then go to class and after class have a protein bar or something then go home, 3rd meal, then do homework and eat some fruit then last meal and after that some more snackage before bed.
Thanks. Fuck, why are there no protein shakes/bars around here fucking estonia
How many sets do you guys do in the average workout? (by that I mean every possible workout, from back to abs to biceps) I only do 2-3 sets and I don't think that's enough.
2-3 for a regular workout. If I'm focusing on a specific muscle, I'll do more.
I play allot of cricket so i have strong legs and shoulders. and you now them chicks dig ripped shoulders. but to be honest i feel that i am happy being a thin as a rake not that strong yet very good at endurance person. I'm not ripped, i don't have a 6pack but i am still happy. I don't think having muscles will make me happier.
This thread makes me sad, I can't even do push-ups :smith:
Thanks. Fuck, why are there no protein shakes/bars around here fucking estonia
I'm sure I saw some even at a Prisma. At least in Pärnu or Tallinn.

You should let her know.
Oh yeah, something that may not have been said before, muscle develops when you are dormant, or resting, not during the exercise itself.
Thanks. Fuck, why are there no protein shakes/bars around here fucking estonia
You don't NEED them. Steak and potatoes mafuka, steak and potatoes.
So I play football, and have been lifting for about a year straight. Yet I don't have a 6 pack and tbh my abs look deformed, they're aren't straight lines that divide them it looks crooked almost like a lightning bolt, now that ive got the mass i need should I just make a calorie deficit and start running a fuckton (not like i already dont) to get some abs? I just thought it'd be a given to have them after working out so long and not being a fatass I'm 150 and I'm 5'8 5'9-ish area
This thread makes me sad, I can't even do push-ups :smith:
Don't feel too bad, I can't do pushups either. I'm too heavy to do pushups. :smith: 350 lbs, 5'11". Really. That heavy. And I'm not too strong either. (I max 135 lbs. for bench, 225 lbs. for deadlift, and 155 lbs. for squats last I checked) I'm trying to lose all this fat and gain some muscle by joining wrestling, doing a solid 30 minutes on an elliptical machine every day and lifting weights. And cutting back on what I eat. Speaking of which, can some of you tell me some exercises and ways to change my diet to lose fat and gain muscle? I've started by reducing my portions and doing my best to eliminate junk foods. And I already do these workouts in my weight training class: Upper body: 3 sets of 3 reps Bench press The rest are 3 sets of 10. Biceps curls Bench triceps extensions Bench rows Lat pulldowns Military press Deadlift Shrugs Dips Lower body: 3 sets of 3 squats The rest are 3 sets of 10. Leg extension Leg curls Calf raises Oblique side bends Back ups Incline sit ups I do these workouts twice a day, once in my weight training class, and again after school right after I've done my 30 minutes on the elliptical machine.
^You should try to focus more on cardio than on working out, on top of doing the elliptical do some running/swimming, it will be a long road ahead if you keep putting most of your time to working out at 350 pounds. It will be much faster if you dedicate more time to cardio and the rest of the time you have to working out.
I'll put more time on the elliptical machine, and try to get some swimming in, but I have a hard time getting 30 minutes in on the elliptical.
I'll put more time on the elliptical machine, and try to get some swimming in, but I have a hard time getting 30 minutes in on the elliptical.
Good. Just try and build up by a minute every day?
That's what I intend on doing.
That's what I intend on doing.
Nice, just make sure to keep to your routine, I know it will be so hard that at some points you might want to give up, but don't! Just think of the benefits! :3:
I don't think I'll give up real soon. A lot of my past failures were because I was forced into doing exercises I hated. Working out in my room this summer failed since I hate pushups and situps, didn't have anything good to do dips off of, stairs got me fatigued too quickly, and my room was hella hot which doesn't help at all. In my weight training class, we are taught our lifts and all that, and then we make up our own plan. Plus, I love the elliptical. It keeps my heart rate up, gets me sweating, really works out my legs, and it makes me feel good.

When my dad was at his strongest, he was able to bench 445lbs., and squat 5 hundred something pounds. I hope I didn't take too much genetics from my mom, I want to be able to get strong like that some day.
did he take roids? 24 is like 3 inches bigger than Arnold's arms
he says he didn't just a shit load of creatine i have pretty good reason to believe he's telling the truth about not doing roids he says he was 244 with less than 10% body fat and he's 6 feet tall
My mom won a M+F fitness competition. Two years ago.
