buying this stuff on friday, heard good things about it. [img_thumb]http://nutri-sups.com/content/sites/default/files/imagecache/product_full/02866_Whey_GS_5lb_DRChoc.jpg[/img_thumb] before I was taking musashi which worked alright, didn't gain much weight though. Then I tried some GNC brand which was a little more expensive and I actually gained a few good kgs. anyone recommend any other good protein brands in australia?
protein powders aren`t really designed to make you gain weight, so the first one that made you gain weight probably just had a lot of calories or something and myofusion is a great protein, low calories, clean blend and it has slow and fast digesting proteins so you can take it whenever
So I need to burn this tiny bit of fat left around my stomach area. Any suggestions other than the usual 30 minute jog I do? I usually take a 30 minute jog, come home and attempt to do some cardio and mainly focus on the stomach area. Just want to know if I'm on the right track because I'm quite new to this shit.

If you're serious about getting rid of it you will need a very strict diet, and perhaps even an ECA stack. Exercise will not get rid of that fat, you cannot 'tone' regions of your body in terms of fat loss. Abs are made in the kitchen.

Also, jog for like 10 more minutes or something, it makes a huge difference. By this I mean you only start to burn stored fat after 20 minutes or so of cardio, everything burned before is just what`s in your system for easy accessibility during the day. (I read this in a lot of places, I`m not necessarily sure if it`s completely true but it makes sense)

And you can`t target any certain bodypart where to lose fat, it just happens that you lose fat and like Firerain said the lower part is where you usually start gaining the first fat and losing it the last. My brother also uses it and he put alot of research into proteins. Your getting pure whey with no additaves and it actually tastes good if you put 2 tbl spoons of nesquick with the protein and milk. It's not really for gaining weight though so you might want to look somewhere else if thats your goal.
[editline]4th November 2010[/editline] how :(
He's talking about where you said that "By this I mean you only start to burn stored fat after 20 minutes or so of cardio, everything burned before is just what`s in your system for easy accessibility during the day. I'm no expert on this lol
so how much can you guys bench? (i want to compare myself to the rest of you)
170 lb and my body weight is 140 lb.
170 lb and my body weight is 140 lb.
Jeeze, I'm 154 lb and I can only bench about that much (70 kilos)
I`m around 160lbs bodyweight and maxed out benching 200
I STILL don't know what's wrong with my plan except that I eat too seldom?
so how much can you guys bench? (i want to compare myself to the rest of you)
285lbs for one rep about 6 months ago when I weighed 170lbs. Have been focusing on Incline bench in effort to develop my upper chest a bit more.
285lbs for one rep about 6 months ago when I weighed 170lbs. The most I can hit on incline right now is 225 for 3 reps, but that's my last set. It usually goes: 185 for 12, 205 for 8, and 225 for 3. And I wish I could say the same. My shoulders and upper chest lack density and overall mass. I've been busting my ass trying to get the to grow.
so how much can you guys bench? (i want to compare myself to the rest of you)
135lbs. I weigh 355lbs. You guys all put me to shame. :smith:

Do you know if they're any better/different than doing just 3 sets of the same weight? I do them all the time [editline]5th November 2010[/editline]
135lbs. I weigh 355lbs. Plus, working your way up helps prevent injury obviously. I ditched the "same weight for each set" theory a long ass time ago and would never recommend it for someone serious about making good progress. :]

As you probably have found out on your own, it's really about going by feel. I used to document my lifts with numbers and such but I dropped that and have found it's much more enjoyable going by feel.
Cardio has nothing to do with building muscle. Did you get your torn rotator cuff operated on? If you didn't, you better do it now. It's a long 8 month recovery (I know 7 people who torn their rotator cuffs) and you're not gonna be able to lift shit, better get it done now while you're young. My dad had to get it at at 35 and it sucked fat bull balls.
My shoulder gave way at the gym last night, went to the docs today... I'm out of the gym for around 6 weeks. Suspicions were confirmed. Tore my left rotator cuff nearly 2 months ago but because I've left it as long as I have there's not too much they can do at the minute. The muscle has began to repair itself so they want to avoid surgery if they can at the minute, there's a 50/50 chance the muscle will fully heal and surgey won't be needed but they want me back for a scan in 6 weeks to check. Have been sworn away from the gym as it'll only make matters worse. Will hopefully all pan out OK and I'll be back training at rugby and down the gym in a couple of months. Gonna still do some cardio as I've been slacking lately so can shift some bodyfat for a fresh start when I'm training again.
Does doing incline alot emphasize the chest more?
Yes but it mainly only does your upper chest, to keep it balanced you want to add decline sets such as decline dumbell press and decline flies.

Chances are your rotator cuff will fully recover. I say this as I've had buddies who were into competitive PLing and they've destroyed their rotator cuff multiple timems and made full recoveries, despite doctors prognosis. They told by the doctors as well, to stay far away from the gym. Ignored their advice, got back to work (albeit with caution) and fully recovered.
Hmm, day ten, still problems with the pulled muscle (not surprising, since it takes time to heal), excercises are coming along fine, since they're easier for me since I haven't got the strength to do them as hard as the well-muscled. Could you tell me if my current meal plan would suffice? Breakfast: 1 proteinshake (1 dl of powder, 1,5 dl water, 3 dl milk) 1 dl rye meal+water (rye porridge) 1 banana 60 grams of nuts (cashew, almond, hazelnut) Day: 1 can of tuna 500 grams of carrots 1 proteinshake (1 dl of powder, 1,5 dl water, 3 dl milk) After excercise: 1 proteinshake (1 dl of powder, 1,5 dl water, 3 dl milk) 200 grams of cottage cheese 350 grams of ground beef 1,5 dl of dark rice/macaroni 1 banana plus 2 liters of water a day and sometimes a D-vitamin pill
why would you eat a banana after excersize instead of before
No idea, I have zero knowledge of WHEN to eat whatever, I only know WHAT to eat (since I'm following a portion plan)
why would you eat a banana after excersize instead of before
Nothing wrong with that. But yeah have one before hand too bro. It's only like 15 grams of sugar anyway which is dick nothing if you're actually training hard. [editline]5th November 2010[/editline] G-fluxin erryday.
why would you eat a banana after excersize instead of before
because potassium has a negative effect on muscle power you massive scrub or does it help with cramping or does it help with endurance eat all the bananas only joking eat oatmeal instead trust nothing!!!!!!
