5 times isn't exactly a lot.
5 meals + snacks in between, it`s really quite a bit
I've been doing pushups and situps and leg lifts every day for the past few weeks, and while my arm muscles are bulking the shit up (+10 reps every 2 days) my abs aren't really improving at all. What's up?
you're meant to have a meal every 2 hours
Hnngee you're not "meant" to do anything. Go ahead and try it out. You can eat every 2 hours, or you can eat twice a day. If you're still consuming the same overall caloric intake, it won't make a lick of difference. The only thing you're "meant" to do is eat alot.
What's the best way to cut down on between-workout snacking urges? I've got more than a few pounds to lose, and if i can cut down on snacking and soda drinking in between my weightlifting sessions i figure i'll go much farther. My trainer said my diet wasn't that bad, but i figure every little bit will help.
Don't put the snacks around you, then you won't eat them.
doing a big carb up before I lean out for 4 weeks or so. Eating potato chips, mangoes, etc, it's fucking great. marinated pork chops and mashed potato for dinner. Fuk yea.
15/11/2010 Firerain starts trying to bulk while on an ECA stack. This is going to be dumb. DAY 1: 30mg Ephedrine HCI 100mg Caffeine 18mg Aspirin 50mg Naringin My resting BPM has increased by 20. Wootles.
Whoa, be careful with these.
That's only a half-dose too!
In attempt to mix things up a bit today at the gym, I've discovered that drop sets can smash you like nothing else can. I love it.
good news guys im getting fat with my bulk. 155lbs and 16% bf now. Let's get this bitch to 180 [editline]15th November 2010[/editline] im halfway to my bulk goal after 2.5 months, dunno how well im going to take bulking for another 2.5.
are you eating right now y eat more n eat more there you go perfumly
dude why are you taking aspirin and all that shit what does it do
According to the scale at my school gym which finally got dialed in properly and fixed I weigh 158lbs. Hell yes. I'm a little concerned about the growth of my chest though. On an upperbody day (Twice weekly) I usually do flys/decline/incline/flat bench. Is that overtraining and preventing growth or am I just being impatient
Anyone have any good chest/pest workouts? I'm not getting the results I want with what I'm doing now (Bench/Fly)
Anyone have any good chest/pest workouts? I'm not getting the results I want with what I'm doing now (Bench/Fly)
Incline bench/decline bench/dips
Go heavier, less reps. I bet you're either doing A) some gay ass 10-12 rep scheme and B) not eating enough, or more likely both of those. Eat more.
eat forever at all times BABY YOU'RE A FIREWORK come on let your colours burst make em go uh uh uh
Do fewer reps, heavier weights. Make sure you're getting plenty of protein.
It's killing me not being allowed down the gym for 6 weeks. I've only managed one and a half so far and I can almost feel myself wasting away! I used to beat myself up if I ever missed 1 day down the gym so this is fucking killing me. It's gonna take me a couple of months at least to get back to my old strength / weight before I fucked my shoulder =[ Not to mention keeping the bodyfat off.
home gyms > gyms

Started as a slight pain during a chest session, and when I got to my flies it was like someone suddenly shoved a hot spike through the tendons. I was stupid enough not to take some time off immediately and made it worse. As for staying lean, couldn't you just do a session of intervals every day? [editline]16th November 2010[/editline]
home gyms > gyms
I love public gyms with good people in them though. It's awesome when people cheer eachother on during new max attempts.
Do deadlifts and squats. Serious.
I don't have weights and when I do squats I just feel it in my quads.
I tried doing split squats last night with freeweights, and it killed my knees. I think i have bad knees :argh:
I don't know if it has been mentioned, but if you have been working with barbells, may I recommend using dumbbells instead? They are considered better because it is more individual for the arms, and has better balance benefits. If you can bench 100 lbs barbells though, don't expect to do 2 x 50 lbs dumbbells easily for an example.
EDIT: Nevermind FP fucked my beautiful chart up.
If you can bench 100 lbs barbells though, don't expect to do 2 x 50 lbs dumbbells easily for an example.
I pretty much always prefer dumbbells over barbells, except when doing reverse grip bench presses.
a few months in now starting to see and feel a real difference it's really encouraging
home gyms > gyms
no
