i haven't done sit ups in a long time but back before i had a gym membership my record was around two hundred, i think. [editline]5th December 2010[/editline] but i don't think i have that much endurance anymore so who knows what i can do now
i understand. If you drink water before you go to bed after a night of heavy drinking, it will help you be less hung over.
I do this everytime! :D [editline]5th December 2010[/editline]
last I checked I could do 125 sit ups. how many can you guys do fp?
haven`t really done normal situps for a while, so I can`t really say lol and once you can do 125 non stop they don`t really do that much
nice, man. I actually have a question: what do you guys recommend more, pull ups (wide grip) or lat pull downs? I think i heard someone in this thread say pull ups were better. I interchange between both in my work outs, i was just curious as to the pro's and con's of each
haven`t really done normal situps for a while, so I can`t really say lol and once you can do 125 non stop they don`t really do that much
can you tell me other types of sit ups then so I wont be wasting my time.
can you tell me other types of sit ups then so I wont be wasting my time.
i posted some earlier but there are V ups, leg lifts, side crunches, side twists, kick outs, wind shield wipers, incline sit ups, etc. Try adding weight too in order to increase strength [editline]5th December 2010[/editline] V, you ninja'd me but yeah that makes sense because you have to balance yourself out more
Do hanging leg raises, bicycle crunches, plank, etc. etc. etc. there`s lots and lots
thanks just did some bicycle crunches and I can start to feel the burn fast
i just finished working back, bi's and forearms. I did about 10 reps of 3 sets of wide grip pull ups with 25 pounds strapped to me. Shit was pretty fabulous.
The the VQ guy: there's no real need to take WEEKLY photos, since I'm so fat you can't really see much anything. I'd need to shake off 30 kgs of lard for you to be able to see any change. The only change I can see after all this time is a SLIGHT increase of the bicep area, plus my endurance has increased greatly. I still sweat like a pig, although the guys in the P90X videos do that too :P
you may not be able to see it immediately but it is interesting to be able to see the very slightest changes.
Does anyone know any good lower back and leg exercises for a skinny mofocka which can be done quickly in one's room? There's no gym near where I live and from what I've been told one should do body weight exercises before investing in weights, is this true?
Deadlifts, supermans, good mornings, reverse sit ups, squats, wall sits, jumping squats. Do you have weights?
Deadlifts, supermans, good mornings, reverse sit ups, squats, wall sits, jumping squats. Do you have weights?
Not at the moment, though as said above I'm thinking of buying some. Do you reckon they're better than just doing it the ol' fashioned no weights way?
weights will definitely help. Depending on how serious you plan on getting you may rather invest in a gym membership. [editline]5th December 2010[/editline] sorry didn't see the edit gimme a sec
weights will definitely help. Depending on how serious you plan on getting you may rather invest in a gym membership.
No gyms around here, I think I might as well just buy some weights. Thanks for the exercises by the way
well it depends on what you're working with the body weight exercises and how many reps you can do. you want to be able to do around 6-12 reps (lower working more strength, higher more endurance.) Someone may have told you that just so you can make sure you are dedicated to working out before you go off spending a bunch of money on shit you're not going to use
Good point, I've only started getting into exercising in the past few weeks. I'll see how it goes before spending dosh on it
dips, pushups, situps, chinups and leg raisers do 3 sets of 10 of each of those plus 30 min cardio and you're good.
i disagree. It's too spread out.

Or at least try once a month, I wish I took starting pictures :( [editline]6th December 2010[/editline]
i just finished working back, bi's and forearms. how many reps do you do with the forty five? i've done forty five with a good amount of reps on normal grip but with wide grip i can only get about 7 or eight reps
how many reps do you do with the forty five? i've done forty five with a good amount of reps on normal grip but with wide grip i can only get about 7 or eight reps
I do around 10 with normal grip and like 5 with wide grip lol What I do, is I do a few sets of weighted, then a few sets of unweighted, kind of provides a contrast
So yesterday I did pull-ups/chin-ups as usual and once again did more reps than last time (this time 8). Today I wake up and my abs are sore. wat I wasn't aware that pull-ups worked your abs

Especially because i regard my back as one of my strongest muscles because of climbing.
bodybuilding is rooted in insecurity. a girl isn't going to care about how big you are. and bullies are notorious for ignoring size differences, they'll still pick on you because of how you act. i sincerely hope you can get over your self image problems.
or i just like being physically active...
