Recently I've started lifting weights and eating right (cutting) except using bmr calculators and such, the amount that im meant to be eating on a cut (1800 cals) exceeds the amount I used to eat, yet my weight stayed completely the same back then. My stats are 5'7", 145 lbs. What's up with this? It could be macro distribution (I would eaten much more carbs back then instead of protein) but i wouldve been eating like 1300-1500 calories or something pretty low.
remember that unless you are doing extremely accurate calorie tracking (writing everything down), then you are probably underestimating how many calories you actually ate

When are you guys gonna start cutting?
I was thinking February/March, would that be a good time?
When are you guys gonna start cutting?

I was planning on cutting a while ago but then it`s like now I`m addicted to gaining mass
It`s like I`m a reverse anorexic lol
I think I`ll stop gaining at around 180 and that will probably (just guessing lol) be around March. I think March is good because you have a few months before summer.
I wish I wasnt so poor. I know I dont get enough protein which makes me annoyed that im doing all this work everyday but not gaining as much as I should because I dont have meat to eat
Why people never mention cottage cheese or milk quark here? Thats what everybody eats here. You can get a 500g of milk quark for 90 cents.
A few months ago I used to eat a FUCKTON of cottage cheese. I in fact ate so much that I can't fucking stand it anymore.
I bought a little snack called cotti frutti. It was was basically cottage cheese, milk quark and fruit. Tastes amazing tbh! There were three flavors, pear-vanilla, pineapple, and grapefruit. They were quite expensive though, so I'm going to make some myself.

I mentioned it a few times, but no one seems to like it so I stopped
but yes, cottage cheese has a strong calorie-protein ratio, I used to hate it but now I eat it at least a few times a week

i never really cut since my body has a really fast metabolism but yeah i'd say march would be good. Feb seems a little early
And sorry, but my arms, chest, and everything is bigger than yours.
In the picture you took they look around the same size as mine with less fat. And evidently everything can't be bigger because I'm 160lbs and you're 160lbs.
I wasn't trying to be insulting broseph.

Not sure if this is right thread, but i was linked http://www.hundredpushups.com/week1.html and wanted to hear some thoughts on it.

It works. I got up to week 4 but then i started going to the gym so i didn't have the energy to continue with it. I went from hardly being able to do 1 push up, to 18 push ups.
I'm going to assume having a small bonestructure will make it harder for me to bench?

if you want to get better at pushups: do it
if you want to get a bigger chest: do this if you`re a beginner and then start working out

hey guys rate my casual routine and tell me if there's something I can do to build more mass faster
1day 3 sets of around 20 Elevated pushups
2day 2 sets of elevated sits ups with
2 sets of elevated crunches
and then it alternates like that every single day
advice on losing fat around my abs?

you're not doing enough things each day for it to make any difference, for example, here's what you could do to make more of an impact
1)3 sets of elevated pushups. 3 sets of normal pushups. 3 sets of close grip pushups
2)2 sets of plank. 2 sets of elevated sit ups. 2 sets of bicyle situps. 2 sets of leg raises. 2 sets of crunches
3)3 sets of dips. 3 sets of pullups. 3 sets of handstand pushups
[editline]14th December 2010[/editline]
oh and you can't target where you lose fat, just do some cardio and eat healthier and you'll begin to lose fat

you can't lose abs in a specific area. But that seems somewhat lacking of a work out. You may want to incorporate dips, pull ups, etc. If you want to lose fat you need to either increase your activity or decrease caloric intake. It's better for the long term to increase activity to help build a fast metabolism

that will help with maybe help with strength for a beginner but it will quickly only become endurance, which is ok if that's what you want. After a certain point you won't gain any muscle mass, however.

Seems pretty legit, doing anything that long is bound to give some big improvements.
My goal for pushups in two minutes is around 70. My current max is about 50.
My goal for situps is 80 in two minutes. I can do around 55ish or so, haven't really tested it but I can blow through these fairly easy.
My pullup goal is 40 in two minutes. Current max is around 25-30.
Currently I am anywhere from 140-145lbs, haven't weighed myself in months. And I've been non stop training for the past month and it is almost an addiction, I have more fun doing weight training than almost anything else. I rarely ever have rest days, I just find another muscle group to exercise.
My goal for running 2 miles is 16 minutes... However my current time is like twice that, I'm really out of cardio strength.
Will weight training and mad pushups/situps help cardio at all in the long run? I hate running so much, and I want to reach my arms and abs goals first. And I'm not doing exclusively push ups to increase the amount of pushups I can do, I'm doing all kind of dumbbell training

Yes. If you consider going slow as balls proper form then no.

take a video!
Speaking of pullups, I've never been good at pullups.
Combination of me being a big guy and relatively weak upper-body for my size.
I can probably do a few, like 5, but I don't really know what exercises I can to to work on that.
I could just do 5 pullups a day but is there a better way to do it? Something that will work those muscles a bit more?
Thanks.

that is a lot of pull ups. I can do about 20 or so and that's p hard for me

the best way to get better at pullups is to do more pullups
I guess you could do dumbbell shoulder press, that's like a negative of a pullup so maybe that would help (not sure)
you can also do cable pulldowns
work your abs too

lat pull downs, bent over rows, rows, etc. work back and bi's basically
Ehhh. I just did some, I don't know if 180 degrees to chin on top of bar is like the official pull up. But I normally do around 140 degrees or so before pulling back up.
