oh, and I think I've hit my limit on my arms. I've been doing the same weight for about 10 weeks now. Do I have to start drinking protein powder and such before my muscles will gain again, or do I just need to vary my exercises.
Depends. Do you have access to a gym?
depends. at home no but if I am visiting my parents then yes.

I curl 50's per arm, if I got stuck I would do 60 for a few reps) this always helps me when I'm stuck
And I curl 25s. This bothers me immensely haha.
I just got a hip replacement and need to stretch out my legs. What would be the best for that?
Do you do dumbbell press? I like to switch it up between using the bar and dumbbells. How much do you do? I do 65-70 per arm for my flat dumbbell press. [editline]06:51AM[/editline] Oh, and anyone here do flat, incline, and decline bench? I only do flat and incline, never really do decline though.
i don't DB press, but I do flys with 45lbs on each arm. Also I don't do DB curls but I do bar curls with 80lbs
http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=944193 This one seems perfectly fine.
Yea it does, needs more attention though.
I go to the gym too! I've been going for the last 6 months or so... I really needed to lose a few kilos and it definitely shows; I already went through 2 different sizes of belts because they were getting kinda loose, and I'm getting kinda "smaller"... my size changed; I used XL clothing and now I'm using L T-shirts, but at the same time, I'm getting heavier than I used to be, due to my muscles :D I like it when I'm wearing smaller T-shirts and people notices how you're getting ripped :v:
I workout too. My favourite exercises are: Flyes, squats and benchpress. I weigh 188 pounds and is 6ft.
Well if you can bench 135 and you weigh less than it, that's still pretty good (assuming by struggle with 135 you meant you can do it but barely) [editline]06:41AM[/editline] So, for all the guys that actually workout, what's your favourite exercise? You know, the one that when you do it you feel awesome? I think deadlifts and curls are my favourite. I did 2 hand curls with the EZ Bar with 100 pounds for reps, feels good man. also this is an ez bar if you don't know
Latteral raise and pull ups
I did 2 hand curls with the EZ Bar with 100 pounds for reps, feels good man.
this is dumb
i know but i get tired at the end of the workout session (1 hour) and i cbf doing my bench :frown:
bench at the start of your workout after your warmup. if yo favourite exercise isnt back squats with 300+lb you are a big skinny nerd baby peace
Too bad there's not a bunch of girls of facepunch. I want to find out an answer to the age old question of what's more attractive: A skinny guy with a sixpack or A guy who works out and has proportional muscles (much bigger than skinny kid) but only has a sixpack when flexing
What women say and what they actually want are two completely different things. Social dynamics would tell us what women think they want is largely influenced by the media. However a more muscular male flips attraction switches based on alpha male traits etc. [editline]11:43AM[/editline]
So for what reasons do you guys workout? Like what motivates you to do it and why do you do it?
Partly out of vanity, partly for performance in amateur boxing. Working my way up to the heavies. I want to be 220lbs lean.
Check me out guys, after 16 hours of masturbation. Man I feel like I could bench press a house!
I've been meaning to get to the gym and start working out, but I always keep putting it off. Probably something to do with being scrawny and not feeling like I fit in at a gym. I really should start going with my older brother. [editline]09:53PM[/editline] I've got a dumbbell kit that I should probably use too. Anyone know some good exercises and routines I should try?
firerains paten ted im a lazy motherfucker and i should be in the gym but im not god im lazy routine all with dumbbells and max 10x weight so the max weight you can rep for 10 routine: 10x3 mil press 7x3 x3 fancy curl things where ud o part of the movement upper and lower then you do full movement for 7 max pushupsx4 30 crunches x 3 25 twisty situps x 3 do a plank planks are fun 1 day do some pretend kettleball shit with a heavily stacked dumbbell maybe even do squats just lots rly fast feel the burn its bad but its better than nothing i do this every day until i can not be lazy and go to gym

How does it benefit me when you rate your workout routine bad? Also the dumb bells I have only have one weight and that's around 7kg. I'll check out the plank exercise though.
Do those have any drawbacks? Like how steroids have to be taken FOREVER or else you lose your muscle (thats what i heard if thats wrong then I'm sorry)
There are worse things than that which come from taking steroids... [editline]10:45AM[/editline]
Check me out guys, after 16 hours of masturbation.
There are worse things than that which come from taking steroids... [editline]10:45AM[/editline] His dick is probably so disproportionate to the rest of his body.
Oh wow, yet another person who knows NOTHING about AAS, but has to drop the dick shrinkage tome of knowledge. Hey bro. Go find me a legit case of someone's dick shrinking from AAS usage. I'll wait. Forever.
i know but i get tired at the end of the workout session (1 hour) and i cbf doing my bench :frown:
do bench first. always do compound exercises first. [editline]06:05PM[/editline]
this is dumb bench at the start of your workout after your warmup. if yo favourite exercise isnt back squats with 300+lb you are a big skinny nerd baby peace
why are 100 pound curls dumb [editline]06:06PM[/editline]
I've been meaning to get to the gym and start working out, but I always keep putting it off. And do you have a proper bench? [editline]06:06PM[/editline]
10x3 mil press 7x3 x3 fancy curl things where ud o part of the movement upper and lower then you do full movement for 7 max pushupsx4 30 crunches x 3 25 twisty situps x 3 do a plank planks are fun
i don't know if this workout is a joke or if it's serious? oh and those 'fancy curl things' are called 21's :downs:
My first time at the gym last week and I bench pressed 115.
My first time at the gym last week and I bench pressed 115.
nice! how much do you weigh?
Starting gym from tomorrow on, gonna do 3 way split routine like this. Day one: back biceps Day two: chest triceps Day three: legs/abs/everything else At the moment i'm 6" 1' at roughly 145 pounds. For supplements i bought a can of Animal Pump and a can of MyoFusion protein. Can post progress pictures if people want them.
You guys are lucky. I weigh 210 lbs and can't bench past the 45 lb bar with 30 lbs of weight. I could only do like 5 pushes up and down on that. :(
Luck has nothing to do with it.
What exercises can I do with just dumbbells? I already know how to do curls, but I don't know what else. I'm trying to gets strong and lose some fat. I'm taking weight training at school, but I won't be taking any form of PE after the first semester, so my parents said that they will get me a good set of dumbbells. Also, why take protein supplements? I've just incorporated more protein into my diet (eating PB on toast for breakfast instead of cheerios, packing turkey sandwiches for lunch, etc.)
