I've only had 14g from that shake. and about 13-14 from a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole enriched wheat. So so far I only have had 28g or so. Apparently I should have around 115g by the end of the day for daily intake.
I was just thinking a little protein on rest days would help the repair and recovery process.
do you eat anything else during the day other than the shake and the pb and j???
Oh and also, remember, some foods that you don`t think have protein actually do, milk has a lot and so do nuts and peanut butter and etc. etc.
Milk's packed with protein. Skim milk has 9g protein in a cup, no fat. It's also good protein that gets easily absorbed into your body. Soy also has protein.
I drink my protein shakes every single day. Keeps me full and tastes great.

Usually eggs and bacon. And then what ever for dinner. Which in some cases is just a salad and chicken or something. In what ever case is still not enough I think.
And I do drink a lot of 2% milk.

eggs and bacon have a fuckton of protein, so does chicken
I think you need to start eating more as well as increasing protein

Soy has estrogen, so unless you want tits I wouldn't suggest it.
and Soy protein is horrible anyway.

remember you have to drink a lot of water once you start drinking protein shakes
Bench: 250lbs (all time best, early this year)
Squat: IDK my 1RM, but I was doing 5x3 with 275lbs when I stopped lifting
Dead: ~315lbs, maybe... I neglected doing these until shortly before I quit
Wt: 6'2"/195lbs... highest weight was 212lbs early this year; currently ~15% body fat, with my lowest being 11% early summer-ish
Experience: lifted for 1.5 yrs, haven't in ~6 mo's
Why I workout: to look good, be healthy and perform well at my job
Started when I was a junior in high school. Stopped shortly after graduating when my gym membership expired and I couldn't afford to re-up. Since then I've stuck to body weight exercises, some light dumbbell work (rarely) and the occasional round of cardio, usually walking or on a upright bike. I want to do P90x at least one round next year before I join the Army since I've had it recommended by several drill instructors and recruiters.

pretty good stats for bench gj
have you noticed a lot of mass decrease since you stopped working out heavily with weights or is it gradual?
Me and a friend of mine have started working out at the local studio. Except from being horribly out of shape, getting distracted by good looking females and being unable to get out of bed because I overdid it, I'm starting to like it. I feel better, and I get a release for all my excess energy.
where are all my eastern european bodybuilding bros up in da haus
just watched a video of Ronnie Coleman eating like 8 chicken breasts like 4-5 times a day for his low carb week
here I thought me eating 2 chicken breasts and some mashed potatoes was godlike
the guy works out 6 days a week though
i only do 3-4 because my schedule is workout day, rest day, repeat

also he weighs 300lbs lol
There was a new guy from the Y at my gym. He entered the wet sauna with his cock out, no towel. "Hey guys I'm from the YMCA in blank, they're kinda known for their saunas. ;o" Then he poured some weird soap stuff into the sauna thing and it made the room burn our eyes and nostrils. Then he asked us to leave and we came back a few minutes later and he was in their lifting 10 pound rubber dumbells "55, 56, 57" really fast.
Freak.
And he goes here regularly now.

I am 16 now, and after being a lazy slob I want a good physique.
Can anyone recommend a good starter work-out?
Also, due to wanking my left arm is much more muscled than my right, how do I even them out?

are you planning on working out at home or at a gym? if at home, what equipment do you have?
oh and you can't really even them out, chances are they're pretty equal in strength so once you start working out the right will start to catch up
[editline]21st December 2010[/editline]
but one will probably always bigger than the other, that's just how it works unless you're a professional bodybuilder
After working out today, I kinda noticed I have an indention in my chest. I hope it isn't pectus excavatum.

Use barbells instead of dumbbells more, that way one of your arms won't be lifting more than the other. Like VQ said, your favorite arm will probably always be slightly bigger.
At home, But there is a gym nearby I think.
I have plenty of weights, bell weights, a bench, a barbell and dumbells.

what are your goals for working out? is there any muscles you'd prefer to work over others?
give as much info as possible and I'll try and help out

That's some good stuff. You should look around here...
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/forumdisplay.php?f=10
Helped me out a bunch. And if you look around you can find routines that work for you, however I made my own because too many of the routines on bb.com call for using things I don't have. You should be fine if you have all that stuff.
And for Christmas I asked for some whey instead of buying it myself :smug:. And hopefully my other Christmas present will be bringing over ye' old bench press from the old house.
I need some kind of a work-out program that would get me maybe motivated to go to the gym, I'm currently out of shape, 169 cm long and I weight 51 kg .
Can anyone of you guys make me one or recommend me an existing one?
I want to be in a good shape, but have definitive muscle definition.

There are no schedules, plans or programs that keep you motivated, the only thing that can keep you motivated is you. You do that by making gains, your progress is what keeps you motivated and you get that by training hard. The only thing blocking you here is your own mind.
If you are new to training I'll be happy to give you any advice I can give. If you would like an existing program or schedule, because it's easier for you as a starter, I'll be glad to help you out but keep in mind that only you can keep yourself motivated and no one else.
I go to sleep now, I'll check back in tommorow.
I just tried a new workout today. Shit really kicked my ass.
I did 20 heavy squats, went straight into 15 reps of Romanian deadlift, took a short breather, did 20 reps of bench press, 20 reps of bench rows, then 20 curls and triceps extensions. All without pausing (except for dismantling my weights). At the end I was exhausted and I'm pretty sore right now. Didn't even take 30 minutes to do, which was important because I had to cut my workout short today because of a dentist appointment.

only go to bb.com forums to see things from a different perspective
don`t ever listen to what anyone there says until you have other sources proving this
most of the people on there are uneducated or use prohormones/steroids

sounds like a weird workout, your muscles ALWAYS need rest, even if it is 30 to 60 seconds, that amount of time is crucial
