ok so i was going to write something but i completely forgot because i just saw a bright as fuck falling star out of my window [editline]25th December 2010[/editline] and it's also christmas day for me i'm lucky as ~fuck~
and it's also christmas day for me i'm lucky as ~fuck~
Asshole. It's Christmas Eve morning here.
Found old pic of me and i was SHOCKED, on my progress. This is me roughly 8 months ago, picture is older but my build was nearly the same. ~65 kg then This is me today, haven't been to gym this week and only workout was few pushups. 80 kg now. Only been to gym for 2 months, progress is crazy.
just measured my arms: 11 inches fml :smith: might have something to do with me being 145 lbs though
I thought my arms were small at like 13.75inches
Just wrote this down on sticky notes and placed it on my desktop so i can check it easily. This is only for my gym at home. If I go to a proper gym (which i've been doing more often because i have a free membership) I end up using some machines as well. 5-6 gym days a week. Abs go anywhere, usually every second day. Anything I should change? [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/VDO5E.jpg[/img_thumb] also since we're on the topic of fit bitches [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/EoheG.jpg[/img_thumb]
looks pretty good, maybe do shrugs on shoulders day since you have so much stuff on back day and missing a thing on shoulders day [editline]24th December 2010[/editline]
Sorry if I'm interrupting your fapping sessions but I have a srs question: How can I tell if I have gyno? I mean I have puffy nipples but when I press on them I don't feel a "marble", I just feel flesh. and no I don't feel like going to the damn doctor.
I`m no doctor but I think it`s supposed to hurt, and the lump is the most important symptom [editline]24th December 2010[/editline]
just measured my arms: 11 inches fml :smith: might have something to do with me being 145 lbs though
I was reading that the average male in north america weighed 180 pounds and had 13 inch arms (keep in mind that most people that are 180 are fat so that explains it). But don`t worry, arms also have a lot to do with proportions. My arms are bigger than my friend`s in measurements but his look way bigger cause he has smaller shoulders and chest.
i've actually never measured my arms. So i don't know where i stand in that department [editline]24th December 2010[/editline]
Just wrote this down on sticky notes and placed it on my desktop so i can check it easily. Do shrugs on shoulder day, traps are complementary to shoulders and less so to lats (back). Don't forget that if you're not past your twenties you can make a lot of progress out of the blue. Gaining 15 kilo's in eight months is a lot, it be a grow spurt or you've gained lots of fat and fluid. Would be a dream if you gained 15 kilo's in muscle in not even a year, or even 5 to 7 kilo's.
Maxed out for good mornings today, New stats - Deadlift - 465 Squat - 355 Goodmornings - 365 Bench - 205
also since we're on the topic of fit bitches [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/EoheG.jpg[/img_thumb]
I rather like them a little more sporty, not just skinny. rrr
Yeah i agree, it might be just natural growth mostly, or just better diet allowing body to grow to its potential normal size cause before i was eating low protein junk foods and stuff, and its hardly all muscle weight, maybe more than half is fat, but i don't complain having a healthy amount of fat on me like this. Current routine isn't very strict, i do almost all muscle groups 3 times a week and focus few on certain day. like this. Monday - everything (3 heavy sets until fail), focus back and biceps (thats like 6 heavy sets until fail) Wednesday - same as above, focus chest and triceps. Friday - neck, obliques, legs, abs and traps focused. Don't really think its best way to go for max mass but as i'm not very strong yet it helps on my endurance a bit too. Usual workout session is a good hour or so, rarely shorter, and i do fast walk to the gym, for 2 miles or so then 5 minutes of flat out running on the treadmill for warmup. and 2 miles walk back home, gonna be jogging to and from gym when it gets warmer, not safe with all the ice here at the minute and i am not trying to cut so cardio isn't as important. As far as diet is concerned i eat everything, drink 2 liters of milk a day, protein shake every day with milk (gaspari myofusion) and animal pump (pre-workout sup, get crazy pumps with it to be honest) and animal pak (multivitamin) Also im 6"1' so i guess even small increases in muscle affect my weight more. I mean like if someone 5"7' put on 5 kg of muscle you could see it much better on him then me.
After the gym re-opens after Christmas (monday), I`m going to start doing more reps for everything. Like 12. Lately, I`ve seen a huge increase in strength but not so much in size. It`s there but not as noticeable as the strength. Also now I`m strong enough to do decent weights for reps. I`ve been watching a bunch of stuff on bodybuilders and they all do high reps for hypertrophy. And all the biggest guys I know do high reps. Definitely 5-7 pounds of fat but that`s still less than a third. 20 pounds of muscle is awesome. All I did was eat a lot of healthy foods. Like Yesterday, I had a bunch of eggs and a bagel for breakfast. For Lunch had soup with meatballs. Then after gym had 2 chicken breasts and then my last meal was steak and potatoes. And in between each meal I had yogurt, banana and cashews. Feels good man

I still find it hard to eat a lot, maybe i have a small stomach or im influenced by taste too much but i cant eat a lot, however it cant be a small stomach or something because food i love (which are junk foods) i can eat lots of, like 3 big big macs, plus fries and drink, or extra large kebabs and pizzas, but when i have to eat homemade stuff i don't feel like i even eat half of what i can and SHOULD eat. And even if i force myself to eat i just can't, i feel full but then i can still fill myself even more with junk food but not normal food. Anyone else have something similar? just cant eat normal foods even though you know how bad it is? By the way i don't think 12 reps is even a lot, from guys in my gym i made it out to be on average of 12 heavy reps (as in, can't do 13) some do up to 16 for bulking, i suppose thats an extreme high rep but still. I drop the weight if i need to to keep up the same reps, but i don't always stay to same rep count, i go by instinct, if i feel too tired that day i might go heavier then usual and god for 8-9 reps, cause that doesn't feel as tiring to me, if I'm more active maybe i will go 10 pounds lighter but extra 4 reps. I get worried though as I'm not feeling hurt next morning anymore, and it's probably because of creatine in animal pump but I'm afraid i might not be pushing myself enough.

Also, try and force yourself to eat by thinking of the results. That`s what I do, and it works for me. I think anything more than 12 reps is just unnecessary lol
I think anything more than 12 reps is just unnecessary lol
Endurance training. A lot of wrestlers in my school will do light weights, and instead of doing a certain number of reps, they do them really quickly and for a certain time. (Like doing 1 min. curls then 1 min. triceps extension as a superset) They need a lot of endurance on top of power.

Think, when you're a wrestler, you're going to be out there for several minutes at a time without rest. You need to have a ton of endurance over that long period of time.
just measured my arms: 11 inches fml :smith: might have something to do with me being 145 lbs though
My arms are only like 12. They pretty dang long though. Anyways, time to do some leg work. Question: Is benching with dumbbells be harder or easier than benching with a bar?
why do you have shrugs on your back and abs day??? [editline]18th December 2010[/editline] Ah yes okay, I got dumb bells for christmas. dude you can do 215% deadlift? that's pretty good, mine was around 215% but now I gained a bunch of weight (bulking) and haven't maximized my strength for my weight yet so the precentage went down My bench is like 120% deadlift 200%+ Squat is like 180% Leg press is like 500% lol no calculator I just did all these rough estimates in my head lol [editline]18th December 2010[/editline] when you work out, have one or two large sessions-not a bunch of things all throughout the day [editline]18th December 2010[/editline] doing 100 reps of something is pretty useless, it`s like the same as you high fiving someone 100 times and thinking it will give you muscle you need to do weight that will stress your muscles and you should only be able to do 8-10 reps with the 3rd set going to failure at the 4-8 range
Ah yes okay, I got dumb bells for christmas.
Question: Is benching with dumbbells be harder or easier than benching with a bar?
Harder. You're recruiting smaller stabilizer muscles when you do them. That's one of the things that makes free weights better than machines in many ways when it comes to building strength.

(the first set i think i can do, 15 easy, second set i think i think we can do 15) most go lower with our standards. Easy and for more just pm haha. lololol, its because you are good actor not good follower, i like your ideas, you will make a good director some day! im going to sleep! wtf don't remember typing any of this, xmas eve fail.
Merry Christmas, everyone! Christmas leg day when i wake up. Not sure if my gym is going to be closed but hoping it's open for a short bit
I redid my leg workout today to... 5x5 Lunge 5x8 Deadlift 5x25 Crunch 5x5 Single leg squats 5x10 single leg claf raise 5x5 squat 5x5 step-up 5x5 Golf squat All with dumbbells. My legs are SO sore right now. Merry Christmas mates.
I don't know how many of you frequent reddit but i've started looking at their fitness section and it has some quality tips on their help section. i def recommend. They have tips on pretty much everything http://www.reddit.com/help/faqs/Fitness
Just measured my arms and i'm hitting near 13 inches, not too bad.
My small arm size is probably because of my incredibly long arms.
My arms are huge, mostly because I have a lot of fat.
Right now I am doing lifting, Stair Stepper Machine, Swimming and Riding on a Stationary Bike. I am doing a Vertical Press 16 times at 20 pounds and 16 times at 30 pounds Pull Downs 16 times at 20 pounds and 16 times at 30 pounds Rows 16 times at 20 pounds and 16 times at 30 pounds Leg Extension 16 times at 30 pounds and 16 times at 40 pounds Leg Curl 16 times at 30 pounds and 16 times at 40 pounds I go on a stair stepper for about 10-20 minutes. I just swim laps in my pool but nothing special. I also ride a stationary bike for three miles and then I am done. I am trying to gain 65 pounds and six inches by fall for football. Will this work or not. Also I am trying to gain more strength in my legs for college football in two years, so I will be doing heavier weights soon. Any advice?
And triceps 'cause it's the bigger muscle. EDIT: Leg strength you say? :) Try doing one legged squats or so called "Pistols". They are one of my favorite exercises.
