yeah btw machines kind of suck bc they don't work those all important stability muscles.
and yeah apparently i'm poor
You don't have to tell me, I center all my working out on using free weights and NOT using machines, but people who don't have correct technique enough to use free weights correctly (or knowledge that free weights are superior) would like to know they have a decent selection of machines.
What I payed attention to is that they also have an entire wall of free weight dumbells and barbells. Not sure if they have kettle balls, I can't remember, but I hope they do because I love kettle balls.
Also sauna is just for comfort, nothing like a good half hour in the sauna after a workout, clears your pores of the sweat and feels great. Just a personal preference, not really a necessity.
Speaking of, I just won a two week free membership there.
The gym in my time is pretty good. They have a LOT of machines and some good ones at that. I'd consider working out there if I felt like paying the money. I really enjoy the fact that it is 24 hours because my schedule is so wack that I may be busy one hour and not the next and i could come and go as I please even if it means going in at 3 am.
The only thing it lacks is a good sauna. But other anytimes other than mine might have one.
Do they have good free weights?
My ex girlfriend had a sauna in her house in Tulsa shit was p cool
Two of my friends that I used to work out with would always go in the sauna afterward. They always tried to get me to join them, but I passed.
yep it tastes great and it`s made by a great company
has lots of good reviews too
it tastes just like cold hot chocolate
i actually bought whey protein for the first time. I got vanilla, though.
Never buy vanilla protein.Ever. Chocolate is almost always the best flavor for whey so stick with it unless you have tried any flavor of that brand.
Also weighed in at 232 this morning, feels good man.
well i had some of my friend's vanilla and i liked it. i'm not a big chocolate person though
Went to the gym for the first time since my 2 week holiday, felt great smashed my chest and calves with 4 sets of incline flys, 3 sets incline dumbell press, 3 sets bench press, 3 sets seated calf raises and 4 sets of standing calf raises... feels good man.
Nice, man. I did legs today and my butt is already sore. Gotta love dem sexy glutes
Thanks, I have legs tomorrow should be interesting, squats, leg press and leg extensions!

My ass resembles that of a bear's.
Evening bb thread. Currently consuming protein after a very taxing chest and abs day. Feels real good man.
Evening, Razz.
I'm hungry but don't want to go downstairs. This is a dilemma. What should i do?
Alright.. so I've had my dumbbell set I had back home set to me, has 4 x 5lb plates and 4 2.5lb plates and 2 bars. Simple for a small ass military dorm like mine. I was wondering if someone could set a workout out for me that I could do in my dorm. I don't have much. I'd ask around in my shop but most are the military I'm 300 pounds of steel and the rest are the 100lb nerds who play wow all day.. or the ones who are normal sized (150 or so) and are married and are happy with that.
I'd appreciate some ideas though of how I can set up a routine.. my shift changes alot so the gyms are normally closed when I'm off.

Probably a negligible amount. I picked one up with the 2.5lb and the 2.5lb was obviously heavier. ..So I'd assume a pound or so.

Ok well that's not too much weight to work with so you'll want to do stuff like one armed tricep extensions, curls, arnold press (if using two dumbbells is too light try doing one dumbbell with more weight and then switch arms), Flies, shoulder raises, wrist and reverse wrist curls, kickbacks, etc
stuff like that.
Are you wanting some sort of schedule?

Schedule would be awesome. I don't know how to balance everything (doing ___ monday and ___ wednesday) nor do I know how to know how many reps or how long to rest.
I'm a pretty new to all this.. my muscle used to just be from being active which was great until I joined the military to work on aircraft. It's kindof embarrassing really.

Wait, so you live in a dorm in the military... you are surrounded by wow nerds all day... and you actually become LESS active AFTER joining the military? What the hell is going on here?
day 1- back, bi's, forearms
Bent over Rows (honestly a lot of back exercises are going to be limited bc of the lightness of your dumbbells if you can do pull ups you should try those especially if you don't feel anything from bent over rows)
Bicep curls
Hammer curls
concentration curls
wrist curls
reverse wrist curls
day 2- rest
day 3- chest, shoulder, and tries
straight flies
arnold press
kick backs
incline flies
side shoulder raises
one armed tricep extension
decline flies
front shoulder raise
day 4- rest
day 5- legs
Jumping squats
Lunges
calf raises
pistols (or one legged squats)
stair steppers
day 6-rest
day 7- rest
The amount of reps and sets really depend on what you want to focus on: Low rep (4-6) is strength. Mid rep is a good combo of both endurance and strength and gives more mass (7-9). And hi rep is endurance (10+)
