Uhh, I actually know Zyzz IRL and he gained around 25kgs natty, if not; more. I'm confident of that. Az was actually an incredibly dedicated guy. It's only recently that his Zyzz persona has really became popular that he's started to fuck around a bit and rely on steroids to stay huge.
I don't know zyzz in real life but i have seen him at the gym in castle hill a few times. i have a mate that looks exactly like him except nowhere near as buff, and he gets mistaken for zyzz sometimes. Zyzz actually saw his facebook and asked him if they're long lost brothers which I found pretty funny. [editline]6th January 2011[/editline] but yeah the way he acts on the internet is just a persona, he's not as cocky in real life.
I think we should stop all this Zyzz talk. You either choose to 'mire others or you train hard to be 'mired.

You guys talking about your 50 pound dumbells make me feel really weak. Then again, I don't even know what's "normal". How many bicep curls can a "normal" person do with 10kg (22lbs) dumbells? How many sit ups? How many in and outs? What kind of weight do they use when doing shoulder flys? What about lying tricep extensions? :(
do it but make sure they are not like 20 minutes long, cut the point nomsayin
i think there's only one vid and it's of my fucking up a v 7 route after i had just done it. Which is frustrating. It tore up my hand v badly when i did it the first time so the second time sucked. Normal is hard to gauge but i'd say most people could do a good 12 reps with 25 lbs for bicep curls. It was really fucking sharp. <3 u, BB thread
Why are you climbing under it? Looks pretty difficult though.
because that's where the route started. It ends with you on the top but the bottom's the hardest part.

What about lying tricep extensions? :(
You can't say anything "normal" tbh. Especially when talking about dumbell curls. I can do about 2 times the "normal" weight by leaning a little back and wagging around. Normal weight meaning that I use a rigit support.
I agree. it's important to make sure you don't do any of that pelvic thrust shit. You can really hurt yourself doing that Also, i need to get climbing shoes. I was wearing tennis shoes during the entire trip because i don't typically go outdoor climbing and the wall at the uni rents shoes for free but i've decided it's time to invest in some because i really enjoy it and it's retarded that i don't own a pair yet
Damn. The nearest mountain, hill, or rock for that matter is probably one million miles from my current position. Shouldn't you wear gloves or something?
Nah, gloves are generally frowned upon by most climbers. Your hands get stronger and more used to it as you progress. I'd def recommend climbing it's a great way to work p much every muscle in the body.
Before I started lifting After about two months of lifting Gained 6 inches of muscle on my chest and 2 inches on each of my thighs and can't remember how much I gained on my arms. Also my shoulders bulked up quite a bit. I'd say most of my gains have been in strength however.

The first picture is about one year ago but that is the exact stage I was in this September right before I started lifting. The second picture is pretty much where I am now, but I haven't been lifting since mid november because I spend every day swimming. Which while it keeps me in shape, isn't particularly going to be building much mass. So the basic time frame is late September to mid November. As soon as swim season is over(february) I am going back to the gym three times a week like I was in the fall.

Keep working at it, it's not where you are that matters, but where you end up.

I'm prob going again in two weeks with the same guys with my new shoes i just ordered [editline]5th January 2011[/editline] i do a bit of both, though. The climbing wall is more accessible during the week and outdoor is for weekends [editline]5th January 2011[/editline] also, you 'mirin my polar bear pajama pants i'm wearing :smug:
I can't exercise much cause of my pectus excavatum. :saddowns:
bro, i have pectus excavatum too! How serious is it?
bro, i have pectus excavatum too! How serious is it?
It's mild ,but it does bother my breathing and heart enough that I'll have to get surgery for it one day. What sucks is I wanna try and get in shape create an exercise plan ,but my doctor advised that I shouldn't. Cause it might put to much pressure on my chest.
That's rough. Mine is supposedly cosmetic, though, it does sometime affect me and i'll have moments where i have to rest. It's actually been a couple years for me, though. I think running and shit has really helped. I still think you can probably work out at the very least just do arm and leg exercises. I obviously don't know how you're feeling. I could work up a schedule for you if you'd like to try it and see how it feels
