I never got the stomach ache you were talking about
it`s occasional
most people doing NO experience it at least once
it`s pretty much a bad combination of food and the supplement so you have to have really correct timing
did my leg workout on tuesday
they got sore today
what
Guess you shocked them so badly they didn't even realize wtf was going on before today :D
did my squats past parallel yesterday (pretty much ass to grass), shit hurts
did a new thing for squats and it was hard as hell:
12 reps of 135
10 reps of 185
8 reps of 205
3 reps of 225 LOL (was way too tired, and my ear popped on the last one..wtf)
oh and I was doing ez bar curls the other day and i really hurt my right arm, it was a needleish pain all the way from my upper bi to my forearm, felt like a bone or something whenever i contracted the muscle
did I pinch a nerve? because all my other bicep exercises were fine after that, even pullups, just this one with ultra close grip made it hurt
everyone's squat weight in this thread makes me sad i don't have a squat bar :smith:
are leg extensions just as good? I still do squats with fairly low weight, but i wanna know if leg extensions really hit the spot just as good

lol no.
There really isn't anything close to a deep squat in terms of leg mass and strength.
All I did for squat yesterday was 8 of 135 8 of 165 and 8 of 185.

Well due to school I'm forced to eat my lunch at a certain time and take my noxplode at a certain time so I think I'm safe from these NO stomach aches.
Found old pic of me and i was SHOCKED, on my progress.
This is me roughly 8 months ago, picture is older but my build was nearly the same. ~65 kg then

This is me today, haven't been to gym this week and only workout was few pushups. 80 kg now. Only been to gym for 2 months, progress is crazy.

Seems like you only got fatter. (Sorry, but that's the truth)
His arms look bigger and i mean with lifting you are prob going to get a bit fatter too. It's not remarkable progress but I'd say he has made some progress
Oh hi, BB thread.
Hi binsky. Im probably going to be a chubby bastard in april before i cut for summer.
i try to get fat but to no avail. I've been so busy at uni lately with changing majors and shit.
Well since I'm only 160 and eating 5k calories a day now being chubby by april is inevitable. Let's just hope I also make some significant muscle gains along with the chub eh?
I'm sure you will. Just keep pushing yourself.
God damn they're testing the fire alarm in my apt building and the alarm literally makes my ears bleed
Strong ears brah.
Also I didn't realize the creatine I bought only had 20 servings. And it's expensive. So I probably won't be using it for very long.
quick what are some ear exercises?
Apartment alarm for ten reps. Hold it on the neg.
i try to get fat but to no avail. I've been so busy at uni lately with changing majors and shit.
What did you change your major to?
It is a pain for me to get 4-5 meals a day when you have classes back to back for like 6 hours.
I'm in highschool and just eat during my classes
:smug:

I want to be a professor.

That's bullshit. Even if you get 3 meals a day, you could get big / stronger.
You think you need to consume 5000grams of protein everyday to be able to grow? That's total bullshit. I bet you barely hit 180 lbs, so everything you think you NEED to consume, is a waste.
I've got no time myself, and yet I still manage to get heavier / stronger. You don't need to eat, like, 3 plates of potatos and 1kg steak in order to call a meal a meal. Also, you don't need that amount of meals per day to grow, as I said. Your metabolism gets used to everything you throw at it, as long as you're consistent.
Read the 5/3/1 mentality, and I think you would do much much better in the long run.

It's actually better for your digestive system to eat more meals through out the day instead of binging three times a day.
Seems like you only got fatter. (Sorry, but that's the truth)
Of course i got fatter but i also really increased my strength, from hardly doing 8 reps of 80 pounds i do 8 reps of 110 pounds on lat pull downs. And bench 1RM from only 70 pounds to 120. I couldn't even do half a pull up without jumping or something, now i do good 5, ofcourse 5 is still far away from being good, but even with extra fat weight im doing better than before. You cant really deny it looks better than anorexic i was before, without all the bones sticking out. I also been getting lots of compliments from people saying i look much healthier than before.
Will start cutting mid February or so, cant wait to maybe see my abs for like the first time ever around summer if all goes well.
I just recently started using livestrong and found out i was barely eating enough to even maintain my weight, i don't know how i managed to put on any mass at all.

Let's straight things out.
How do you know it's better? because it's known, common and practiced almost with everybody who spits out the word "muscle" ? If you want to go fully science on this, then let me tell you this; there was a study about this, with rats. The study, in short, concluded that it had no effect on energy or health-wise on them. whether the rats ate 3 or 6 meals a day, It made no difference. I could find it if you want.
Even though rats are not human, it's a study nontheless.
Also, a question. Will it makes sense to you, if I say, that eating 3 meals, not speaking even about 6, is evolutionary wrong? Do you realize eating that amount was probably not possible for none of your ancestors. So if you claim it's right to eat that amount of meals, then answer this question.
AND EVEN though, protein sticks in the bloodstream for up to 4 hours, still, it is not crucial.
Eating three giant binge meals a day wasn't possible by our ancestors either bub.
I feel a lot better when I split up 5000 calories over the whole day instead of attempting to eat myself into a coma 3 times a day.

I'm pretty sure our ancestors didn't have the luxury of having meals whenever they wanted. They ate as much as they could when they could

That's what I said bro. I never claimed they were able, that was the whole point of my post. Eating that much just wasn't possible, so eating 6 times a day, because it's more effective energy-wise, is a stupid idea.
And you're refering to the technical issue of the eating, not the effectiveness of it. I too, conform with splitting the meals, if it helps me consume more cals, easier.
Also, what's your weight Perfumly?
I'm pretty sure our ancestors didn't have the luxury of having meals whenever they wanted. They ate as much as they could when they could
well then, point is proven. Eating that much wasn't possible, so eating much at all, is not something I'd call healthy.
It sounded like you were suggesting our ancestors could eat that much if they split it up 3 meals a day.
I'm only 160lbs (6'0") but I just recently this week really started getting serious about bulking. Before I started this diet I was eating maybe 2000-3000 calories a day and now I'm nearing 5,000 every day.

Your body isn't meant to take in a bunch of food at once. It's meant to take in several bits of food throughout the day.

Then how come you're still here, if it was meant to be? How come your ancestors did it, like.. 99% of mammals on the planet?
Also per, were you feeling 3000 cals weren't nearly enough?
Today I was doing my fullbody routine(I switch once in a while to one week of fullbody).
My sets are 5x5 for the big compounds like squatting, deadlifting, benching, above headpress, etc..
I was on my 3d set of doing squats. When I reached my last rep but I went down a bit too deep, literally ass to grass. So I got stuck there with 265lbs on my back... Luckely I had a training partner to move the weight out of my neck.
This shows kind of what the situation looked like, on the left how you would normally squat, maybe a few inches deeper, on the left what happened with the red lines marking where the extensions would have been if we had them.

I really hate my gym for not having those GODDAMNED squat extensions.
