Any exercise ideas for a 5'10'', 110lb skinny white nerde' trying to gain weight?
I'm getting most of the calories I need to gain 2lb's a week, I just don't want it to turn into fat.
I don't have access to anything besides some small 10 pound weights, unless you can recommend some weight set for 70 or less dollars.
Do you go to school?
Does your school have a gym?
Use it.

well thats because youre eating 5000 calories a day. I wouldnt be eating more than 3000 calories.

You could gain fast and deal w/ the fat then cut down over a couple months or gain really slow I dunno about you but I prefer the first method because afaik you'll reap results a bit faster than carefully eating so you build minute amounts of mass each week.

tried to do the slow clean bulk no fat for like a year, it failed miserable since I only gained like 10-12 pounds in a year and that only put me up to like 140 lol
dirty bulking is where it`s at, seeing awesome strength and size improvement with it so far, the only bad thing is, the more I gain, the more I want to keep gaining
I'm clean bulking only on super high amounts of calories.
That is the man's way to do it.

doesn`t really make a difference though, once you get your daily protein carb nutrient and vitamin requirements calories are just calories
I do clean bulk foods most of the day but every here and there I`ll have ice cream or Subway or something since it makes no difference in the end really

Is there a specific diet plan you use, so you can reach your goal of 5000 calories per day? I want to start putting on weight, I'm 5'10 and 135 pounds, I'm fucking shredded but I need more mass on me. My midsection is tiny..
Eat what I do, except double everything except the dark macaroni, get calories, die of a heart attack in the age of 50.
Is red meat really so bad for you? I've been eating about 250-300 grams of lean beef daily for three months now and now that P90X ends I'm going to stop using protein powder and instead will eat bacon and eggs for breakfast.
So, the digital scale at my Gym says that in the past 3 months of so, i've lost about 3 pounds.
I'm not super proud (though it's still better than stagnation, or gain), but it's not bad i think, for just paying more attention to eating (I still need to shape up a lot in eating) and cutting soda back to one every few days at most.
Now to get back on the new years resolution for gym-time 3 days a week.
Also, on a separate, but slightly related note. I'm going to the doctor for a check up, and to get my knees looked over. They are sore a lot more lately, and today for the 3rd time in the past few years, i have gotten out of bed and just hit the floor. Almost like my legs were asleep for no reason...kind of freaks me out

so if you still want to get big. make sure you are eating 1 egg yolk to every 3 egg whites.

Yeah i guess. But i think it would good to be getting more protein than fat.
I dont even try to get protein in my diet (minus protein shakes, but I still do those mostly for calories) and I get like 258g of protein in a day just because I'm eating a shitload of food.
well if you want protein and no fat or little fat, take my suggestion.

don't work out everyday. Try to have atleast two rest days a week
