Oh, Salt Lake City, cool.
Pretty cheap way to get views, But hey everyone wins this way so It's cool I guess.
As far as I know, If I'm thinking of the same video, It was a comedian that did this, and they knew the homeless guy, they gave him money or something too for it.
I commend them, honestly I do. But in a perfect world, these acts of kindness would just occur, not be filmed so everyone can see how good of a person the people doing this are. Don't be me wrong, I have absolutely no problem with this, it's great, at least they did a good deed. I guess I'm just a little bothered by the fact that they feel the need to promote and film it. [editline]wat[/editline] Please don't get me wrong, the video makes me feel absolutely wonderful, I was just saying.
imo people who film themselves doing nice things aren't actually doing nice things, they're doing things for attention that just happen to be nice
Filming it does seem a bit forced, but it's still a nice thing to do. Even if there is an agenda of "chicks gon dig"
I would have never given anyone money who asks for it, i.e. people with the signs, because, now, I dunno how it is precisely in other places, but in Tallinn 99% of the time its a fraud, not a homeless man or woman. I say this because a family of gypsies live at a place where my dad gives out cottages - there are 2 women in their 40s who make up and dress up as weak old grannies just to go and beg for money on the streets. One of them, Maria, claimed she'd done it for 5 years now and it works better than rubbing streets. It was heartwarming to see at the guys who never really expected it, tho.
Pretty cheap way to get views, But hey everyone wins this way so It's cool I guess.
And why would his sole purpose be to gain views...?
People often show off things they're proud of doing and I don't see any different here. Even if the sole intention is to gain fame it really doesn't matter, because he's just made some peoples lives better.
imo people who film themselves doing nice things aren't actually doing nice things, they're doing things for attention that just happen to be nice
I agree that anonymity is what real nice people do when they do nice things, but as others have said, this is more of a "teach other people a lesson" thing. If it's wrong to take pride in doing something nice by showing your acts of kindness to the world then everybody who's ever donated thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars to foundations, charities, or academic institutions are evil because they almost always get a plaque or a brick or something in their name. Being philanthropic and taking pride in it by showing others is not wrong.
I don't care how he did it, or even if he wants views, he still gave homeless people 100 bucks, and you can tell they appreciate it
And why would his sole purpose be to gain views...?
otherwise he wouldn't record it
otherwise he wouldn't record it
or maybe he just wants to show others what happens when you're actually nice to people because there's a whole lot of people out there who are just assholes
