It's probably because I actually get out of the house that I see so many different types of people doing so many stupid things. Peeeace kids
Jesus fucking christ I give up, you poor fools will never grow up. Quit arguing to be right and start arguing for the sake of music
hahaha what
Jesus fucking christ I give up, you poor fools will never grow up. Quit arguing to be right and start arguing for the sake of music
ya dude i hope those girls at your workplace can see what true music means too, hopefully they won't be too cross when you berate them and call them kids
What is the difference. I'm having a hard time grasping why that song is any different from any modern party song.
BAHAHA
I'm out, enjoy your biebers and minajs, just know that me and the rest of the civilized world is laughing at you when you sing along to it
I thought the problem was that the world was enjoying this music and that you were the only one that listened to good music anymore? This is awful confusing
ya dude i hope those girls at your workplace can see what true music means too, hopefully they won't be too cross when you berate them and call them kids
I don't bother because it would be like arguing with y'all, no hope
It's probably because I actually get out of the house that I see so many different types of people doing so many stupid things. Peeeace kids
hm
BAHAHA
no, seriously It doesn't make sense. Someone clearly posts a song about pussy and cars, and yet you say it's completely different. Why?
It's probably because I actually get out of the house that I see so many different types of people doing so many stupid things. Peeeace kids
what has that got to do with anything and you've said goodbye like 5 times
I don't bother because it would be like arguing with y'all, no hope
yeah no kidding i wouldn't want to talk to a condescending jerk of a 19 year old either all you've done is berate and call everyone kids simply because they said "no dude music is still pretty good" while demonstrating that you actually had no idea what even constituted popular music in the 70's. i love 70's music and i really hate your posting, that should show you how utterly destructive you are
it's always interesting to see people get so nostalgic and defensive about/for music that they were not alive to fully experience in context

Only problem I have with this "it's actually a really deep interpretation about forms of government and business and stuff" is that very few of the listeners are going to get this. Please don't tell me your average high school/college kids are really delving into the depths of their music and trying to pull meaning. I know a few do, that's fine. Hell, you can say this about any genre. (Had a friend who only 'just' realized what the lyrics meant in "Don't Fear the Reaper.") I mean, it's cool and all, and people can listen to whatever they want. When it pops up on the radio or some kid in college has his iPod too loud, I still only hear "BITCHES SHIT AIN'T MONEY HOES." I could say when they're blasting death metal - all I hear is some terrible static screech with screaming. Still, it's just my, like, opinion, man. If you want to say something intelligent or put a good message across, going "BITCHES AIN'T SHIT AND THEY AIN'T SAY NOTHING. LIKE BEEZ IN A TRAP" isn't the way to do it. I've seen Industrial Metal give off a better, clear message without as much terrible grammar and slang. :v:
the general audience for rap songs understand the slang of the songs they listen to
I don't want to set the bar that low. I'm just saying that this idea of the song being an allegory to some form of government and how we should all do x - that's stretching it from what a casual listener is going to derive. Don't know, maybe I'm totally wrong and the kids walking around with their wastebands at their knees are actually picking up some coolio education from these songs. I can't say I have any authoritative right to judge because I really don't listen to that style of music often.
But you can't name one person back then who was in their right mind and said they weren't awesome. Lawless Lands by The Sword: 71,499 views Hard In the Paint by Wokka: 16,258,661 views shudder
It's Waka (Flocka Flame) you dingus. You call today's music fucked up simply because it doens't appeal to you. That's pretty ignorant man. You're the exact kind of hipster fuckwit that I hate. Always whining on how much better music was a couple decades ago and how all of today's music is shit. Well guess what, not all of today's music is horrible, there are more artists out there besides Minaj and Bieber, so stop generalizing everything. And comparing Zeppelin to Minaj is like comparing apple juice to toilet paper, it doesn't make any sense. At least pick a modern-day rock band to illustrate a difference. And for the love of god stop praising these old bands like Queen etc. like it's the best thing since sliced bread. Agreed they have a made a lot of classic tunes and people are going to remember them for a long time but just stop shoving it down everyone's throat as if they're the best thing ever, because there not. There's no such thing as 'the best band ever'. And do you honestly think there wasn't any shit music at all back then? I don't even know why I care, it's just sad to see how frustrated you get over a Nicki Minaj song. Just stop.
i cant stand minaj and most of the modern pop but fuckkkkk meeeeeee zydos youre such a stuck up living-in-the-past moron people saying "GO LISTEN TO REAL MUSIC LIKE MY FAVORITE ~CLASSIC~ BAND [insert mainstream prog rock here]" make me fucking see red, get some music education people
Nickelback and Creed, as can be seen on my Last.fm profile right below my post count.
lmfao
i listen to the sound of my own poop

I don't even want to know what the people that listen to this trash are like.
I don't even want to know what the people that listen to this trash are like.
why not? most of them are respectable people.
Baha BAHAHAHA Kids these days don't know a fucking thing about talent and hard fucking work. Anyone can talk into a microphone and pay some dude $2,000 to make a bass-riddled track under it, bam instant hit song. But no, let's put aside lifetimes of practice practice practice with your instrument or voice, more practice, music theory and composition, and sheer fucking talent, to instead listen to the same in-and-out-in-3-years artists come and go What ever happened to Kesha (no, she doesn't get the fucking $)? She disafuckingpeared. Gaga is fading (albeit she can sing and compose somewhat), Weezy fucking quit all together, all this modern trash is fading fast. Most popular acts are just dj's and mc's and whatever you call them because it's a lot easier making a cool sounding dubstep song on your MacBook than it is to spend your entire life perfecting your instrument/form, starting a band, and hopefully making it big. Then again, a generation who only pops MDMA and listens to 3-note songs while high as a fucking kite can only expect the same lack of care from their idols. I'm not saying I don't like modern electronic music, it's neat. But there is no fucking way Nicki Minaj even registers on the scale compared to, say, Queen, Zeppelin, The Beatles, fucking Jefferson Airplane. People with the will to change the world by music, not make a quick buck and brag about their swag Give me your iPod, let me fill it with magic, and never stop listening to real music. Maybe one day your head will slide out of your ass long enough to get through a Queen song, and you'll just keel over and die from being so wrong all your life
ha. hahahaha. you sound like a 14 year old who just discovered the famous bands of the 70's - 90's. I give you about, 6-12 months before you realise how stupid a post like this is. On a serious note, why is it important that music requires talent?
I wish the attitude that music was better in the 70s and 80s and 90s would just die already, idiotic assumption by kids who think they're more tasteful than they actually are
The reason "all modern music sounds like crap" is that we, being alive today while it's made, gets to hear all of it. Shit music was produced in the 70's, 80's and 90's too, it's just that we don't bring it up as example of what music in those times were like. The shit music of those times faded into obscurity as time went on, and now all we remember are the good bits.

Maybe music doesn't play such a big part in other peoples lives as it does yours? You can bet my butt you'll find tonnes of student-age kids who actually do care learning and studying modern music and the history behind it It's not as though those classic artists were all that was around then either, the charts in those times were also topped with its fair share of crap, and any old episode of TOTP will back that up. It's all just a whole load of fads done in a different way each wave at a time, some sticking around longer than others
Then again, a generation who only pops MDMA and listens to 3-note songs while high as a fucking kite can only expect the same lack of care from their idols.
As if large masses of people never got completely muntered while listening to Zeppelin/Marley/Black Sabbath (see woodstock and similar festivals) This is admittedly almost completely anecdotal, but there are probably just as many people who will go wet at the thought of someone like Michael Buble or Josh Groban or whoever as people who will scream ecstatically at the mention of Minaj or One direction for example, all of which are immensely popular regardless of the fact they're different genres. Also, you can't blame kids as a whole, of course they're going to eat up what's shoved in their face by the popular media, unless of course you're loosely using the term 'kids' in a condescending manner to address people around your age I could have gone more in depth and debunk a lot of what these 70s-rock-is-better-stupid-kids-these-days people say, but I really cannot be bothered here, plus I have trouble wording things, so feel free to poke holes in everything I just said
Ahaha Queen, could you be any more of a stereotypical "I'm 12 and I hate what my generation has done to music!" Youtube comment type? Queen is fucking awful. So's Nicki Minaj in all honesty but not nearly as awful as Queen.
I'm getting flashbacks from "god bless america"
I'm getting flashbacks from "god bless america"
Why don't you get flashbacks from a good movie instead? [editline]10th October 2012[/editline]
lmfao
"S is for the simplety E is for the ecstasy X is just to mark the spot 'Cause that's the one you really want Yes, sex is always the answer, it's never a question 'Cause the answer's yes, oh the answer's yes Not just a suggestion, if you ask a question Then it's always yes, yeah" Words to live by.
Whats really sad is that this is so little thought out... What the hell are they trying to pull off with these, with these... eh? a few beats and some background synths. I could make this shit back with FL studio 1 ffs. And can she actually sing!? She is just talking. Hopefully its just a parody of the thousands of songs that are quite similar in these aspects, haha, you crack me up Nicki!! Now if you listened to Motorpsycho's The Death Defying Unicorn for a while or any of those newer albums of them, you just simply couldn't go back to Nicki and say, "Wow she is talented and her music is so beautiful/nice/cool/rough" or tough or maybe even groovy because in the end, she has almost nothing! I will give her simple and repetetive though. "Don't feel too bad, im just a mean old man." In the end it seems as if I am some asshole of a dick teenager who is simply just being subjective and retarded for calling all music out there SHIT nowadays! And that might be true... hehe, possibly. The fact remains that this Nicki has no talent in making music, but on the other hand she does stuff like bootyshaking, being on the screen, and she is also able to say stuff, "wise stuff", and for some people thats enough, but its pathetic in comparison to something like Justice's DVNO (can be repetetive but at least it has a soul!) I wish I had some top producers in my basement...
I feel like 10x more GANGSTUR after watching that video. Chubby bitches and dudes with tats on their faces. Looks like a pretty sick party guys.
