Star Tours is the Attraction at selected Disneyland Parks, which closed recently for a "much needed" (which I don't believe) upgrade, and will be re-opening in 2011 with a whole new adventure.
It will be taking place between Episode III and IV.
It'll be proper 3D like you'd see in most theme park attractions, not your basic film 3D.
I agree with the first paragraph.
I just hope its not another Journey Into Imagination (google that biotch)
He needs to let the Star Wars saga have the funeral it deserves already.

Really, George? Could you please just stop? Please?
I don't care what George does to his films. I'm one of those strange breeds of 'normal' people who didn't think the prequels were bad at all and actually thinks the changes done to the DVD version were quite enjoyable.
I guess that means I should be circumcised and sacrificed to Satan because I've got not chance. I liked Indy 4 too.
OK, liking the prequels I can sort of understand. Indy 4, yes it was an utter bastardisation of the Indy franchise, but I can understand why you may like it, but liking the changes done to the original trilogy? Where he filled it with horribly fake looking CG, made Boba Fett a kiwi, and replaced Sebastian Shaw with that FUCKER who played Anakin in the prequels? Are you actually retarded?
[editline]04:11PM[/editline]
Also,

For as long as it has the same price as ordinary blurays and got a non 3d version in it.
fucking jar jar
George is a business man first, a movie maker second.
And that is exactly why his movies suck.
3D is just another gimmick that the industry uses to squeeze every penny or cent they can get.
[editline]06:44PM[/editline]
suits George Lucas to a T as of late.
Dear God, no...
I'll just stay at home with my DVD Star Wars trilogy, thanks.
I wouldn't mind seeing the original three, and maybe The Phantom Menace.
But not the last two... not a chance.
How would this be possible? CGI effects to simulate the method used to make stereoscopic images? I thought you needed two separate cameras recording something from two slightly different angles
It may not be too hard for the newer three movies since they were ALL GOD DAMN FUCKING CGI, but the original 3?
George knows how to milk his franchise.
I am OK with this, the more versions the better, as a Blade-runner fanatic I should know, the one you like the best is the one you consider the definitive version.
Wouldn't probably such a big deal for me if the tickets weren't really fucking expensive.
Now this is why you should never give the director/writer control over marketing rights. It creates all these pointless fan disputes.
George was actually pretty cool when he was making the original trilogy. He even said himself that special effects shouldn't be used to MAKE the story, they should be really subtle.
What happened to him?
lol, a raging fan. you can't shout at george, it's his stories. if you don't like it, go rage elsewhere.
The original trilogy's story is only partially Lucas' creation. His original script was heavily modified. It shows, too, as the past implied from the original trilogy doesn't seem at all reflected in the new trilogy.
I'll probably go watch episodes 4-6 because I'm such a nerd.
More bullshit, please!
Hmmmm. "Normal," huh? Most people seemed to hate it, so I guess "normal" to you would put you in the minority.
Believe it or not, the majority of real people don't care about the difference in quality between 2 sets of Sci-Fi movies.

Ok, I understand those that hate all the prequels, but liking episode 1 over the other 2? I thought it was established fact that episode 3 was the best of the prequels.

He just needs to modify the CGI on a few ships and laser blasts.
Why George? Why ruin the best film series ever made?
Why George? Why ruin the best film series ever made?
oh hey you must be new
he ruined the series a long time ago
like 1999

2002 for me
What was on George Lucas' mind when he came up with this idea = Money.
3D is an awful reason to re-release a movie that half the population of the world has already seen.
who will shoot first
Stop this fucking 3D fad now.
''Luke, I am your father. IN 3D!'' ''NO! It can't be!''
:suicide:
Oh, wait. I need that emote in 3D.
I couldn't care less about the 3D release. I don't need it, so I won't buy it. Seriously, though, people need to stop calling 3D a fad or a gimmick. It was gimmicky in the 90's with the red/blue glasses, but now it works pretty well if done properly.
Yeah 3D really hasn't done anything for me yet. Maybe in the future but nothing now.
It depends on how they use 3D. If they do it where its like Avatar where it adds a better depth perception and makes the picture look sharper it will be fucking awesome. If they do it the generic way where things pop out at you then it will suck
