Coudn't agree more. I really wanted to see the ratte live :c
Reminds me of one of those end boss aircraft in those top view, flying arcade games.
u mad?
where are the aerodynamicz i dont see them
Oh god planes with deck guns?
They also wanted to make some crazy stuff in WW1

It's the Tsar tank.
I wish countries still made crazy shit like this.
top view:

and i saw an image of one of those in flight over a city somewhere. Hang on I'll try and dig it up.
It's propably one of the most useless and impractical designs ever made to be on the face of earth.
It cound't bomb anything, it'd be itself bombed to shit, plus every AA gun within the range would be able to zero in on it, and it'd be impossible to miss.
And with it's top speed of 3 it'd coudn't evade even the moon.
It's like a closed cockpit TB3.
But do you get the point that if a country were to be invaded by these then they'd shit themselves seeing such huge planes. "OH MY GOD HUGE FLYING BATTLESHIPS WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!" I know I'd shit myself if I saw twenty of these above my city with normal jets around it.
This plane x100(00) would be a huge morale killer for the enemy.
..until they realize it's very easy to shoot down.
They'd be terrified at first, sure, but as soon as the initial shock is over, it'd be reduced to a crubled wreck of aircraft material in seconds.

Imagine that massive flying fortress in the early 1930s though, it would annihilate enemy morale.

It's roughly equal to the damage that airbus flying overhead would have on norks.
This is better.

You should check out this : http://englishrussia.com/index.php/2007/08/04/antonov-the-worlds-heaviest-and-largest-jet/. Made by russians again.

Oh. Indeed it is. I saw a translation to Russian characters, so I immediately thought it was Russian. My bad. Doesn't change how enormous that plane is.
Also: The world's largest helicopter

I have no idea what country it originates from, but it's used by the Soviet Air Force.
Make it into a luxury plane. Blimps/Zepplins are too slow.

I know this was back a page and a couple of hours ago but you're missing a big point.
Yes it might hit your enemy's morale to see something like this. But what happens when one gets shot down?
Huge hit to your country's morale, and a boost to your enemy's.
Same reason that the big battleships hardly did anything for most of the second world war, everybody was too scared that their country's pride was going to be sunk.
