If anything, intelligent life has yet to become developed within our Solar System; For proof, just watch the news.
Three words in and your thread gets shit on by grammar Nazi's.
P.S. You called?
Well since the universe is infinite according to modern science there should be an endless ammount of life forms out there.
What about Microsoft Sam?

Not infinite, ever increasing.
Until the big crunch for certain scientists
I feel really sad for him.He might be getting all this fame and he is the smartest person but still.....
A damn good scientist.
I'm a very inteligant man too. How come I don't get resarch grants :C
Carbon and water are generally seen to be the most likely candidates for extraterrestrial life because as I recall, carbon bonds tend to be more stable, and oxygen is more common that ammonia.
Silicon life is impossible; the molecular chains break down after a dozen or so bonds.

Like we, little humans, know every particle in the univers, and know which bound is best for life.
Didn't he also say it was a terrible idea to broadcast our location to the Galaxy?
It's funny because it's not like the world voted on whether or not to do it.
If aliens come and cook us, it's gonna be like 3 people's fault
LOL!
Because you voted for anything since you'r born?
Ah yeah, sorry, I forgot we vote every 4 years or so between a dude and another dude, optionally a chick.

Yeah but this isn't just anything
This is a really interesting thread, thanks for making it
Are they still broadcasting powerful signals to space with the coordinates to our solar system?

Prove it
Are they still broadcasting powerful signals to space with the coordinates to our solar system?
It's likely, but I doubt that the aliens would be able to decipher them. I mean, what are the chances that they would know our language + numerical system?
What are the chances they'll know our way of coordination?

It's universal.
Math is supposed to be a universal language. We used pictograms to represent our solar system. The radio signals are translated into radioglyphs, that is images.
They also used the location of this galaxty's main pulsars as reference points and the distance between two Hydrogen atoms in a Hydrogen molecule as a distance unit.

your welcome
im glad its interesting
Great thread, OP.
Still, take into consideration that there are hundreds of billions of galaxies. It's just probability that ET life exists.
Too bad Stephen Hawking can't talk like a normal human being.
He must have a lot of time to make up these theories while not getting laid.
He gets more pussy than you.
He gets more pussy than you.
That's probably not too big of an accomplishment
That's probably not too big of an accomplishment
Agreed.

How ironic.
