If it hasn't been posted yet, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Actually that's just an awesome movie.

He could sneak on because noone was watching the entrance because noone would suspect that the captain became a murdering psychopath, there would be no security because it would be inconceivable that anyone dangerous would sneak onto a ship in space, he did not float around in a vacum, he used the route that the people used to get onto his ship then he sabotaged it, and he could have been exercising in those seven years, but since he is insane he keeps burning himself because he is obsessed with the sun therefore explaining the burns, and because he is insane he believes the sun gives him power therefore he does not mind being burnt and because he has been burnt so much he wouldn't feel as much pain.
btw I'm not writing that as truth, I'm just saying how it could also be real, feel free to point out flaws in my explanation.
there actually is security. the computer says there's an unidentified life form in the sun room, plus there are cameras in the airlocks.
Yea but it wouldn't be hard out security to stop people from entering, if you know what I mean?
meh, still that's one out of many other parts that make him supernatural.
and a classic slasher villian trick is easily bypassing security like a ghost sometimes despite being brutes
True, i've been watching the movie again today and its up to the slasher bit, and it does go downhill in the end but not ridiculously bad.
whooooooooooosh.
but seriously, the coen brothers are fantastic film-makers. a serious man is the best film i've ever seen, and feel ever likely to see. i watch it at least monthly.
[editline]16th February 2011[/editline]
not to be condescending, but i can only assume a large amount went over your head. the whole film is extremely subtle.
[editline]16th February 2011[/editline]
also, to add to the coen brothers', raising arizona and miller's crossing are both great.
nah i get how they're all subtle and shit, but i just fucking hate how their movies go. like in a serious man, the entire movie was just infuriating because his life sucked so hard. no country for old men was too fucking long. they killed brad pitt in burn after reading, so fuck that shit. and the woman who worked in the exercise place was an annoying little bitch. maybe they're just not my kind of movies.
[editline]16th February 2011[/editline]
I dunno. it's to supernatural for my taste.
for A movie that's so grounded in science (they did their research pretty well iirc) i don't see how some immensely burned guy could sneak onto the ship undetected, probably floating around in a vacuum for a long period of time or magically bypassing security, be immune and possibly energized by the power of the sun in very high capacities, and retain and even gain super strength, among agility and other things
yeah i kind of didn't like the whole everyone getting killed by burned guy plot aspect. they had a pretty solid movie just with the stress of having the fate of the world on their shoulders and having to make tough decisions like killing their fellow crew members and not making a detour to pick up the original ship. but still a good movie overall.
I was just saying the whole slasher part was the problem. not that the entire segment of the movie is corrupted, the actors sort of shine in this part, [sp]it's when everything just falls the fuck apart, many people die and shit, basically the only two left die themselves, but a painless death[/sp] but i think the best part was when capa falls down in his space suit and when he gets up that's probably one of the most believable performances of straining every last music to death
actually i think i like the slasher part now. in think it's really a metaphor for the stress that they were put under and what space does to the mind. think about it
i mean i didn't really dislike that part all that much, i just thought that the movie's original premise where it's like a sense of urgency and like really tough decisions and then it turns into more of a survival slasher movie. i also didn't really get the reasoning of the original crew to [sp]not bomb the sun. they just say "fuck this noise, we're not doin it anymore." [/sp]what's with that?
they turned into their own little kind of cult due to space dementia (think of dead space but instead of some military duplicate of an alien artifact it's the sun)
could have also been caused by something upgraded in the second ship like shielding unknowingly and blocked whatever got to the first crew..
anything with lots of plot twists
Perhaps FRED: The Movie, that'll send you flying

i'm pretty sure someone mentioned the wall already. but maybe i'm wrong.

i just watched barton fink.
i keep saying this but best movie ever made. seriously. it makes me want to get a whole bunch of drugs and hang out in a flop of a hotel like that one without a TV.
When on shrooms or 4-aco, watch Wall-E.
Seriously puts shit into perspective, i just sat there in awe, gasping (yes, gasping) and crying the whole time. Wish i could see it in theaters..
[editline]13.55[/editline]
I guess i cried because it was so fucking beautiful.. i'm not really sure, was really far out

- 99 Francs (toxicomaniac ad creator provokes shitstorm)
- Festen (danish family has issues; rebellion ensues)
- Old Boy (Corean guy imprisonned for 15 years seeks revenge, excellent film noir
- The Wall [how was it not even mentionned yet?]
- Zelig [if you can stand black and white, and Woody Allen's humor]
- West of Pluto: AWESOME movie about french canadian youth, realised and acted by teenagers. The equivalent to KIDS
- Watchmen [if you're too lazy to read the comic book]

my friend was watching this movie on acid. through the course of two hours he began by telling me it was awesome at the beginning of the movie. then every 10 minutes or so he started saying worse and worse things until finally at the end he said it was the worst movie ever and noone should ever watch it.

that's a fan made trailer, but it really doesn't do the film justice. Absolutely lovely film.
Watch any Jim Carrey movie, you will be laughing your balls off
300, Spartacus. Basically anything intresting when sober.
I'm sure when Cowboys and Aliens comes out most of us will go see that.
