Dark City. it's like Edward Hopper (the guy who painted Nighthawks) made a movie.
Titan A.E. is really great. i loved it as a kid and now when watching it again, while it does have a hint of that old stale disney feeling it's refreshing to watch a more mature disney movie (disney mostly means beautiful animation and sometimes a good movie, which is Titan A.E.'s case). it kind of lampshades typical save the human race style movies a few times "the fate of the human race or whatever is in your hand" (his hand has a holographicmajiger map that leads to humanity's final hope emitted from his ring onto his palm), well i'm betting that's what they were doing with it being completely literal. my only major complaint is the music, they could have been so much more imaginative with the sound track, to be honest the music sucks ass too (i'm hoping it was corporate meddling).

Cheech and chong up in smoke. Good film to watch high?
Does anyone know about any documentaries regarding research chemicals? Found a few about legal highs in general, but I couldn't care less about spice and all that stuff. If there's a documentary revolving Alexander Shulgin and his work, that'd be great. Already got his books.
Space Mutiny. It's a really shitty sci-fi movie from the 80's. But oh lawd I loves it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096149/ A TV-series called Mystery Science Theater 3000 (Also a great watch while high) featured this in one of their episodes. They watch the whole movie while making funny comments about it. It's a must watch: ...I know, the story of the show is shit, but the movie part is gold.
Mel Brooks' History Of The World, otherwise very cliche and dumb humor, but when baked... oh boy.
enter the void is the best movie ever. period.
Cheech and chong up in smoke. Good film to watch high?
BEST film to watch high.
inception, shutter island
no seriously, im fucking serious, enter the void is the best movie ever made, fucking perfect, and i'm a motherfucking movie guru. if you know about my hardcore devotion to drugs let me tell you that my devotion to music and movies (and women, obviously) is just as if not more hardcore than my devotion to drugs, and all three things (again besides relationships and sex because that's a given even though i've been getting jack shit in that department lately) are basically who i am and go hand in hand with each other (the most common activity while high for me throughout this 9-12 year long drug escapade of mine is movies/shows, and if i'm not watching something i'm definitely listening to music no matter what i'm doing, i sometimes even listen to music and watch something at the same time if i'm so inclined, i'm pretty beast at multitasking i can listen to a song and watch a movie and contemplate all elements of both in their entirety with ease). if i was to make a film and were to somehow access my innermost and deepest inspiration and inner "me" i'd make enter the void to the fucking T. this movie is so good it made me cry less than 30 minutes in even though i had just finished watching from dusk till dawn (which i exclaimed out loud many many times how fucking awesome it was and was laughing throughout) and a few it's always sunny in philadelphia episodes, namely the gang cracks the liberty bell, sweet dee gets cancer and the one where they kidnap the journalist. i came into the movie totally carefree and happy and came out completely blindsided and emotionally devastated and void yet engrossed in beauty. i felt empathy for the first time in a while, i could totally feel for the characters, even feel what they probably felt. it is the most self defining movie i have ever seen personally and if you really want to "see me" all you have to do is watch this movie and if you're having trouble just take a quick look at my solemn face and dead eyes after the movie's end and you'd probably understand me better than most of the people i know. but that's not to say most if not all people who are regulars in my life right now know jack shit about me, because they don't. you won't be able to put it to words, of course, cause i'm a giant motherfucking abstraction on two legs, but there's most probably going to be that unspoken understanding, you know the kind where you're like 99% sure about it and there's no way you could begin to describe it because the words to do so with simply don't exist. you can describe a person's personality but describing who someone is at their very core is like explaining some dimension noone knows fuck about or some shit. this movie just captures so much of what i or anyone for that matter cannot put into words even semi accurately this movie is the most vile yet beautiful thing i've ever seen. even then vile and beautiful are just placeholder words only cause i couldn't come up with a better descriptor than the previous sentence.
Plup fiction. I dunno why but I realy enjoyed watching when I was high.
pulp fiction is a movie made to watch on heroin.
enter the void is the best movie ever. period.
I dont have any weed. Should i watch this movie on ecstasy?. Ive been thinking about watching this movie for a long long time. Now my real life mate brought it up he said it was awesome. And now im so fucking desperate to watch it. Ive got some really high 154 mg mdma qaulity pills. Should i do it? yes/no?
Why would you want to sit down and watch a film on ecstasy? :psyduck:
Why would you want to sit down and watch a film on ecstasy? :psyduck:
You're right thought. Its almost fucking impossible to sit still atleast for me. I watched a shitty movie on E before and it was actaully really trippy if i could use that term. Ah fuck it maybe i'll wait ti'll next week when i get my paycheck and get some weed. Id rather use E for raves, party anyways. Its just beceuse im so desperate to watch that movie now on something.
i'd watch it with a bunch of friends if you want to on molly.
Oh, i also rewatched lola rennt recently. it's some crazy german film, pretty unconventional too. it's kind of like a guy richie film but it's only about one event and the event takes place over the course of like an hour or thirty minutes in the movie's world's time, and feels like it's made by made by a weekend warrior semi-slacker euro-kandy-girl who knows how to make a good movie (the director's name is tom so i probably have the girl part wrong). oh yeah and the main character (lola) is pretty god damn hot. she has some of the craziest fucking hair i've ever seen, just above shoulder length, very fucking poofy and askew and dyed bright red with a few random knick nacks and/or short streaks of gold or some shit. okay she's not super fucking attractive but she's german or some shit and has that "normal" look that is sometimes hotter than those untouchably attractive people, like she's a very realistic catch so that makes her more attractive or something. oh yeah, and at least in the movie she's got a great personality lol [sp]she fucking dies trying to save her boyfriend's life, in fact the entire movie is about her trying to save him after he fucked up bad[/sp]
Oh god, not Lola Rennt... That movie sucks donkey balls IMO, makes me wanna fall asleep, and Lola isn't sexy (and no, I'm not picky). She doesn't even have a "normal" look with her ugly synthetic hair, tatoos and weird-looking breasts. There's a big difference between natural beauty/uniqueness and looking like I don't know what, she definitely doesn't look healthy. You are of course entitled to your opinion, as am I, but I feel I should warn people against this god awful movie. There's another German movie called Das Experiment which does contain a lot of violence, but it provides a great insigt into human psychology. Basically it's an experiment with a number of volunteers that are split into prisoners and guards, and the experiment runs out of control. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Das_Experiment And it has a real-life equivelant as well http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanford_prison_experiment
maybe it's cause i dig the fucked up broken bird look. i saw lola rennt first in german class lol.
Pulp Fiction.
Super Troopers. One of my favourite films to watch high, I've seen it so many times.
If you feel brave, try Enter The Void. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1191111/ Trailer Intro sequence
like a month ago me and my friends smoked a crazy amount of high quality shit like OG kush, grand daddy purp, and sour d. I was so baked i thought i was in the movie and when he gets shot i got super depressed because i thought i died.
Keep your eyes open for this.
Another one by Gaspard Noe (Into the Void, Eva) NSFW warning! its a weird film.. D: but I kinda liked it..
Another one by Gaspard Noe (Into the Void, Eva)
I love Gaspar Noe's films. Irreversible blew my mind the first time I saw it, same with I Stand Alone. I waited over a year to see Enter the Void, so worth the wait. Also, because I'm fucking weird,
Dark City. it's like Edward Hopper (the guy who painted Nighthawks) made a movie.
I second this. Great film!
