man watching this channel always makes me want another proper survival game like lost in blue instead of FIND GUN IN 10 MINUTES OF SCAVANGING AND KILL ZOMBIES
You could always try survival roguelikes like Cataclysm: DDA or The Unreal World. Cataclysm has zombies, but can be turned off, and Unreal World is making your spa and log cabin in iron-age Finland while spending your summers hunting animals.
I'd love to do this as well, but I'm pretty sure I can't just go to some forest in the UK and start chopping trees down, seems pretty illegal. It's why I wish I lived in America, you guys have huge forests and it's alright to just go and chop wood and camp properly. In the UK, we don't really have that luxury, unless you own a piece of land, or ask permission from a farmer who does.
This bloke is actually Australian. He lives up in far north queensland, around the cape York peninsula. It's that big peninsula on the top right side of the continent, if you don't know. It's extensively tropical and monsoonal.

His videos pretty much parallel the progression in that game. Even making charcoal is the same process.
Whats going on in the first two images I cant tell what those things are
Looks like hes dredging the bottom of a river with a magnet. Not sure how accurate that would be for ancient peoples.
Well ancient man did have limited access to magnets depending on geography. Magnetite (AKA lodestone) is highly magnetic. Another option for sifting iron out of rivers is to pan for it although I don't know how well that would work
Looks more like a net than a magnet to me.
Yeah thats clearly a net.
I love this channel, they way he makes his videos are pure. No voiceovers, no annoying intro's nothing just pure quality video material
If he starts smelting ore I'm gonna lose my shit.
He started smelting ore

So this is totally doable for me. [editline]aa[/editline] Nevermind, apparently not.
He started smelting ore
this one is by far the most ingenious thing i've seen him make

I blame my elementary school teachers on that one v:v:v
