Okay i watched the synapsis video and the 5 parts, Its actually a good idea, but i fear they will fuck it up by extreme linearity.
/offtopic hey a larva fan tongue hi5 for me :)
Ontopic: A fps game with horses? this is new.
yeah but not in multiplayer.
plus blops's heli is absolute shite.
Yeah, there were vehicles in multiplayer all the way up to 3 and WaW.
Actually Black Ops had the fully flyable helicopter killstreak.
this reminds me way too much of deus ex: human revolution except without the cool espionage and hacking and adam jensen
Most of that stuff looks like they just stole it out of Syndicate (the 2012 one).
But might turn out to be good, I won't judge the game just yet
Looks like a trailer for a high-budget movie with a terribad plot, but maybe the gameplay will be okay.
Hmm, I really don't know what to think here.

ITT: name as many games that have a future setting as you can
They definitely stole some stuff from star wars.
ITT: name as many games that have a future setting as you can
Seriously, just look at those drones. The only differenace is that they don't have a force field.
Or that landing platform, lookes exactly like a building in Syndicate
Can't wait for the full soundtrack
Okay, I didn't notice this before but the soundtrack sounds a lot like the one from DE:HR only with added BRRRR BRRRR at times.
I'm not going to lie, I've been waiting for them to do a futuristic one for years now. At least it's Treyarch and not Infinity Ward, they've always been trying new things in their CoDs.
Looks like I'm going to like the soundtrack too, going to preorder it on Steam as well since I trust Treyarch to do something good.

holy fucking shit China's the enemy this time not Russians!
[editline]2nd May 2012[/editline]
Holy shit, they're kinda mixing RTS with it too. I might actually like this game.
Okay so, people are saying its original because its a different approach? Then why not make an entire new game or series, this game is being described as an Action Adventure RPG, it's a completely different setting and approach from the last CoDs, they just threw in some old characters and slapped on the Call of Duty name to make some sales from 12 year old fanboys, and that's obvious. I would maybe give Treyarch a chance if they didn't try to make Call of Duty it's on genre.
Because Activision wants them to

At least it's graphics don't look as old now, I kinda like them actually.

who the hell cares what the name of the game is if it's good the name doesn't matter
Not so sure about this. It looks really different. I think I'll buy this one.
Ninja'd but the helicopter is the Hind (Reuse of assets anyone), the timezone seems to be set at present (As in todayish) to at best.
There's a mission or two taking place in the 80s.
here is CoD's game design

Sorry, should have made it more clear

by mixing RTS does that just mean it'll be like the blackbird snow level?
by mixing RTS does that just mean it'll be like the blackbird snow level?
No, apparently they're letting you do a bunch of stuff in Strike Force missions like commanding the assets you tossed onto the battlefield.
You can complete the whole mission in Overwatch Mode [The RTS one] or take control of literally any unit and play the mission.
TBH I can't wait.
oh my fucking god horses in a futuristic shooter hahaha

oh my fucking god its a fucking flashback hahahahahaha

I don't think you understand. Developing new series is a LOT harder and riskier than it seems. Singularity was a new series made by Activision, likely as a response to fans asking for new IP and not reshashed crap (Rock Band, CoD) and it didn't fare too well.
they just threw in some old characters and slapped on the Call of Duty name to make some sales from 12 year old fanboys, and that's obvious.
yeah the title is slapped on, totally not just another installment int he series

and it said "this is a flashback from the 80's" where? It could have been a list of many other things, how do we know that it's a flashback judging only by the video?

You clearly didn't watch the video all that well or the interviews or anything, they're going to have a flashback mission that explains why the main villain is so bad, and it will have Mason in it s'far as I know.
There's also a couple cues in the video, such as the M16-looking gun in one part, as well as the HIND, horses and old trucks.

Again, there could be several other explanation besides a flashback. I'm not saying it wasn't because from interviews it obviously says it was, but it's not obvious in the video.
