It probably will considering with all the FPS games that try to copy CoD for some weird reason, I have no doubt as well that another future BF title will come out as well because of it.
It also might start something else, if the Strike Force mode and the other stuff is what they claim it to be then maybe we will start seeing more games have different endings, letting the bad guys win, permanent character deaths. Could be interesting what happens.

Because BO2 will be the first popular future warfare game, and we definitely haven't had a ton of future warfare games before this one.

It's almost certain that the next BF title is going to be another future one, not because of this new Black Ops reveal but because it's naturally next in the development cycle and they've hinted towards it before it was revealed (i.e. "2143" on several crates and stuff in the B2K dlc).

What's the new approach exactly? Changing the models, weapons, maps and sounds in the same game? Like they haven't been doing exactly that for the past few years.

There is making a new game with the same core gameplay and there is reskinning a game and adding some new things to it.
All recent CoDs are the same, just with different looks and killstreaks. If someone hated one of them, he won't like the rest. If someone liked one of them, he'll probably like the rest. Stop denying that it's the same game rereleased every year. And before someone goes "why should they change if it's good for business?". They shouldn't. If they've made people buy the same thing 5 times there is no reason why they shouldn't try to sell it the 6th time.
I am not a COD fun but the amount of random bashing the game in this thread is absurd
