I'll probably just play it for the single player unless they make the multiplayer interesting.
I for one wouldn't like lazer weapon shit going PEW PEW PEW
I didn't see any lazers in that trailer.
I'm interested to see if they'll make any connections to MW
Woah it's actually different this time.
The Price reference in BO was neat but maybe they'll make a more direct connection, given the setting and all
The Price reference in BO was neat but maybe they'll make a more direct connection, given the setting and all
I think they've mentioned in the past that the Treyarch campaigns and IW campaigns don't belong in the same universe.
Looks fun. I hope they bring back custom emblems in multiplayer. Loved that shit.
swastikas and penises [editline]1st May 2012[/editline]
The Price reference in BO was neat but maybe they'll make a more direct connection, given the setting and all
What reference?
Some of the scenes in that trailer did seem... strangely reminiscent of Human Revolution. Looks pretty exciting, anyways. I'd never pay full price for a COD game but it's something I'd be happy to rent or grab on sale for the campaign. (And also Zombies. I heart Zombies.)
I want attack horses for killstreak
Great, it's Battlefield and Crysis put together into something shitty. Nice work, Treyarch. CoD is now a joke.
I think they've mentioned in the past that the Treyarch campaigns and IW campaigns don't belong in the same universe.
I don't remember that, but they definitely didn't get along Not like it matters since Treyarch owns MW now [editline]2nd May 2012[/editline]
Some of the scenes in that trailer did seem... strangely reminiscent of Human Revolution.
Music at 0:24 gave me some serious HR vibes
What reference?
I don't remember the whole story, but throughout the Black Ops campaign were these briefcases. They would have some file on them or something,[del]and one or more of them mention the SAS poising to replace Black Ops teams from the U.S. or something like that.[/del] Also, I'm not a huge Call of Duty fan, but I've come to respect Treyarch. They seem to experiment a lot more than IW ever did with the tested-and-true CoD formula. Granted, it's still probably going to be the same game, but it will at least have a few newer features. I'm gonna watch this and see where it goes.
What reference?
http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Operation_Charybdis http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Jonathan_(Black_Ops)
Future? Finally.
Hmm, looks pretty neat actually. I at least enjoyed WaW and Black Ops, Treyarch does a decent job at CoD. Looks like it'll be an enjoyable cliche-over-the-top-pseudo-cyberpunk-action movie style game. I quite like the "near-future" setting more than the modern day, too. That being said it did seem very DX:HR-y at times. Honestly my biggest gripe I saw in that trailer were the horrible fucking graphics. I mean shit, its 2012! No need for your game to look like a 2007 release at this point. Might be the first CoD game I've looked forward to in a while, but I can't really tell from one trailer.
Sonic cycle in COD: 1. New trailer promise new changes in the videogame 2. More trailer reveals it happens to be the same thing as the last time 3. Game is release and it's the same bullshit as the last time. 4. Gamer's swear they will not be fooled again. Cycle repeats back NO 1 . I would say this is the Call of Duty cycle
http://tubedubber.com/#x3tedlWs1XY:lp_PIjc2ga4:0:100:0:0:1
Christ that's fucking perfect. Also am I the only one who wants Call of Duty 3 updated?
a futuristic call of duty actually look really cool

I'm exceedingly confused where they hype is coming from here.
I guess they like how Treyarch always takes a new approach with CoD unlike IW.
So... everyone on FP hates CoD with a blind hatred, but suddenly they can release a texture pack to make it futuristic and now suddenly you're all convinced it's gonna be amazing? Why? I can guarantee it'll be the same "AMERICA SAVES THE DAY" plot against Russians/Other Foreigners, heavily scripted setpieces, and will just be another sightseeing tour with shooting sequences along the way. And then, there'll make 20 sequels of "Future Warfare". I can also guarantee the gameplay won't change. It'll literally just be new skins of things. Yet, it'll get praised by reviewers for re-defining the genre or some shit. I'm sorry, I can't buy into this. Just because they're slapping a future gimmick onto doesn't change things. Also, the design style looks like they just copied Crysis and Halo, FYI, it's hardly an original design
a futuristic call of duty actually look really cool
Looks cool but what about the gameplay? Will there be drivable vehicles, destructible walls, dedicated servers and giant maps? Will they also be zombies?
I'm exceedingly confused where they hype is coming from here.
Treyarch had done an okay job with CoD in the past. World at War was good, and so was Black Ops. Its just people getting excited that this one may be better. It certainly seems like a bigger departure from the CoD we've been seeing lately, so who knows where it will end up. Its less hype, and more cautious optimism.
So i'm actually curious about this one, since they probably had to sacrifice a few babies to leave the modern warfare thing, that's quite the effort already. Well the engine is the same ugly crap, along with the story too, probably, but still... it's worth taking a look.
Haha, MW3 was when people started understanding that COD (at least the MW series) has been repeating themselves for years. A lot more people are starting to hate the COD series at this point. Now, COD got refreshed with a new theme and possibly some new innovation, but everyone's going to hate it regardless because of the MW3 incident. Also, I'm expecting there's gonna be some crazy laser gun prototype used at one point in the game.
Really because I've barely seen anyone saying that why don't you um read the thread?
...
I'm sorry, but no. This looks absolutely fucking terrible. I've bought the previous Call of Duty's for playing with friends, but I honestly don't think I can waste my money on this.

hahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha im dying of laughter, this is gonna suck so much
^ With 11 agrees.
Same engine, maybe just a little bit more. Same call of duty trademark, push forward against the bad guys, kill a bunch of people without any story behind it. Same old bullshit, just FUTURISTIC.
^ 9 agrees.
It looks really, really, really generic. As in, heavily scripted showoffs of stuff that only happens once in the game.

Dear God :suicide:

From one generic era to another. I have shamelessly owned every COD game out there and I have to say this just looks bland. Maybe its just the trailer itself I dont know. I was really hoping they would stick with the 60s setting or perhaps move up to the 70s or 80s. There is so much content that could be picked from those years.

Nothing That I Would Not Expect From Call Of Duty , A Big Pile Of Shit

Looks like a really cool concept im just a little upset that treyarch had to be the ones to make it

It looks like MW3 but now with ROBOTS and instead of blowing up New York, let's blow up Los Angeles! The guns don't even look futuristic..

They use the same fucking assets for everything.
That's barely?
