Bikers are seriously dangerous. Here, with a lot of small roads, bikers cause trouble because by traveling near the side of the road they create a situation in which a tight, winding road in a rural area requires passing. Oncoming traffic isn't easily seen from behind the crest of a hill.
I park up in Tesco about 2 mins away from where this incident occured and the guy comes up to me and says "you're an idiot mate I was gona go behind you, bet you only been driving for 2 mins ain't you"
Wait, so he fucking followed you to Tesco?
Pedestrians always have the right of way even if they are jaywalking or doing something illegal.
Pedestrians always have the right of way even if they are jaywalking or doing something illegal.
True. But it's still the pedestrian's fault, in this case.
seems like you posted this to get people to agree with you. Oh yes, I posted this just to get the agreement of the people on facepunch. .... Well actually I just posted it because it is the truth it's his fault
Bottom line is, it don't matter whose at fault, a car does a lot more damage to a cyclist than the bike does to the car. It's no good lying in the road, using your last breath on Earth to shout "It was my right of way". Cyclists should be defensive, they have a lot more to lose.
I hate the people in our country and how common most of them sound. Fucking adults that sound like scummy 12 year old chavs and have the same vocab' as them too.
Its your fault OP, commit hara-kiri
No matter whose fault it was, if you had actually hit him everyone's eyes would turn on you.
No matter whose fault it was, if you had actually hit him everyone's eyes would turn on you.
Wow that sucks. Over here everyone knows that every single cyclist is an idiot. Ok yeah I'm exaggerating a little bit maybe but holy hell it's annoying when you get cyclists changing between the footpath and the road and then going between cars only to get to the front and stop. Honestly I wish there were more bike lanes and cyclists actually used them.
The road is for bikers too.
They should get a car or move to the country side where they won't slow down traffic.
u should have beat the shit out of him
His fault.
He was all up in your grill.
If you're a pedestrian you hate drivers, if you're a driver you hate pedestrians. No matter what form of transport you're using... everyone hates cyclists.
His fault.
Wow your an 05'er with 90 posts, respect man
I'm not sure about the UK but in America pedestrian's always have the right-of-way. No matter what. It can get kind of annoying especially at night on my side of town when theres like four 15-year-old's crossing the street SLOW.
Fucking bikers on the road. That is all.
I don't think it's as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Though there are a few people who give us a bad name.
Fucking bikers on the road. That is all.
You're either that faggot who honks at cyclists when he can't overtake them with inches to spare, or not old enough to drive. [editline]12:23PM[/editline]
The pedestrian always has the right of way. Even if he is the idiot.
It was a cyclist in this case, he should have been on the road.
It was the cyclists fault. He should have been looking before he want and saw that the traffic light was green, and looked out for cars :v:
Even though i am sympathetic towards cyclists rights because it's risky as hell to ride on a road with other cars, that guy was definitely in the wrong. He assumes that you read his mind as to what he was going to do, he's a dumbass.
Wait, there's lights at a crossing? UK is weird.
UK government liked spending unnecessary monies.
You should've asked him where his car was!
He would have been 2 Points.
Bike adds 1 point, so it's actually 3 points.
Pedestrians always have the right of way. Always.
its your fault because you used brakes and didnt run him over
Bike rider is a dumbass. You see more and more of them weekly... (Dumbasses that is). Don't let it shake you up. There's no point :)
Once I saw someone on a bike crash into the back of a van blatently, the biker just kept going at a red light and crashed. When the guy got out of the van to see if he was ok, the guy on the bike yells "FUCK OFF", gets back on his bike and rides off as if nothing happened. I was amazed.
It would have been your fault. He's a cyclist, you're a motorist. It would have been all on you. Sadly, that's how it works, even if that twat didn't pay attention to the lights and crossed without any indication or care.
