Now I should make some french knights to yell and insult them.
"I fart in your general direction!!!!"

-Updated he guys (needs a name)
-Added General (from left to right: Grunt, Captain, General)
-Added Tank
-Added Helicopter
The Vehicles are Pretty much WIP since i haven't made this sorta thing before...
Kommrade, the soldiers and heli aren't yours.
So basically, the entire spritesheet there isn't yours.
(I know monkey gave you permission, but I've seen the soldiers before.)
Yeah, the Imperial Guard units are from a Free Armies thread in the old PW forum.
So much more satisfying to make your own sprite sheets instead of peicing together free armies in different colours in my opinion. But it's your choice kommrad.
Ragamuffin is correct, When i used to take armies and just edit them slightly, i found them boring and i didn't want to play with them, but when i started making my own then i became much more satisfied and now i love playing :3

This is true.
I love making vehicles, I'm pretty good at it too.
I just can't make people, no matter how long or hard I try :C
Damn :p
My overall spriting is kind of shitty, but for people you just have to follow a basic template and its pretty easy to get the hang of.
My first army, my own sprites and done in those spare five minutes of boredom over a day or two.
Not really that many done but...meh.

Feedback and stuff on spriting would be good, along with any more ideas because I'm running out.

These are very sexy sprites.

Well, I have been experimenting. If you look some of the soldiers have SAWS instead of grenade launchers. I'm also looking for A nice tan so that they can look like this

U.S Army Rangers. So all in all it's just a WIP. Like a block of clay. Thats all it is. Just sitting there waiting to be made into something nice.
I made a Challanger Tank for my Trugs. I think it came out well, smaller then the APC's but then again they don't hold several soldiers, where as this only needs a crew of three in a cramp compartment.

Some new tank patterns. Urban ACU and Gun Metal Gray.
My new army, a Specs Ops team. A little generic, but oh well.

Fantastic.
What do you think of my tanks?

Yet another Pattern.
Oh god I hate you.
They're...they're beautiful :allears:
I just found this partial sprite sheet of mine, pretty bad compared to a lot of stuff, but since I'm considering getting into FP PW, I thought I ought to post it.

This little sheet is missing the base structures and vehicles and that dropship is getting a bit dated.
Where should I post a map I've started working on again for comments/criticism?
just make a new thread
CodeMonkey, you should try shading them. They'd look a lot better that way.
These armies are now free for use, since I don't think I will be using them

Also because I deleted the 100% completed versions of all four by accident, they are missing a few things I had made already. But do what you want with em. I do ask that they only be used on FP, or PW, no where else.
What program do you guys use to make this?
/\
What is the name of the SubForum?

Less clunky than paint.
Easier, but at the same time more precise, controls than photoshop.
And you don't need to use it's 'unfair' photoshop tools. You can just use it like paint without the fucking annoying controls that paint has.

ummmmm.... any clues?
Paint sucks though. Takes too long to do even the simplest of things.

Made an edit for you, CodeMonkey :D
I added in some shading, and changed the black outline to a darker brown/red colour.
I think it turned out nice :D
But Mbbird, with paint the challenge comes from the limitations. Makes it kind of fun to be able to throw together stuff like that with such simple tools.
Simple =/= Clunky
With GIMP I only use the Pencil tool, Bucket tool, and occasionally colour select to save time and replace an entire colour at once.
The plus to using GIMP is that there are not only shortcuts to individual tools, but you can do things like hold control and use the mouse wheel to zoom in/out. Hold shift and scroll to scroll horizontally. Hold ctrl and click with the pencil and select the colour you're hovering over.
Things like this make GIMP so much easier and smooth than paint. I tried going back to paint and the way you select colours and had to actually select the dropper tool pissed me off so much. Again, took way too long to do simple things like that, nevermind the actual spriting part.
That and GIMP has layers and an easy to use transparency system. Paint has a confusing as fuck indirect transparency monstrosity thing.
Well, if you put it that way, I may try GIMP again. Only used it once before I started spriting, and I did like it, but I didn't think it could do pixels (stupid, I know.)
So yeah, I'll check it out. Thanks.
Personally I prefer Graphics Gale, I got a little confused when I first tried GIMP :v
That and Graphics Gale was mainly made for pixel art/spriting.
