Ah much better :D Just need running animations now.
Fuuck I'm trying to pull off a crossbow, but because of the whole 2d thing it looks like a SMG.
Feel free to use/modify these weapons Jax Strife. There's a pretty nice crossbow in there too. [editline]06:17AM[/editline] Also, 4 shields, short spear, short sword, mace, flail, sickle, axe, and battle axe.
Oh thanks, I'll attempt to use a few of them as bases. :buddy:
oh, and the slanted versions....
Stealing Jax's avatar idea. In other news, I need to get the fuck back to work on my birdmen.
have they even been in a match? haven't you been "working" on them for like 3 months now? xD
have they even been in a match? haven't you been "working" on them for like 3 months now? xD
I'm an on and off guy, I'd like to test them in a match, I just to get the effort up to finish this vehicle.
If I can find the inspiration to make another sheet I might have a match with you. No guarantees though
I'm an on and off guy, I'd like to test them in a match, I just to get the effort up to finish this vehicle.
I'm the exact same way. I have a terrible time with vehicles.
ok, might be making a plague army that basically zombifies enemy units and takes over their minds but it will actually be like a virus programmed into life by alien entities that have far surpassed our technology name (might stay, might not) shall be D.E.A.T.H. (Deific End Altering Tormentor of Harm) ... yeah [editline]12:47AM[/editline] actually this won't require much of a sheet, ill make it up on the go, anyone want a match?
I love vehicles, I hate making infantry, or animals.
If I can find the inspiration to make another sheet I might have a match with you. No guarantees though
Well, assuming you the time you need to do that, I need proper aiming(up down) for my guys too. Other than that, most buildings can be on the spot, and generic. Also Jax, the guy my bird is riding is my vehicle(Well mount but same thing) birdrunner. I actually am almost done. The only problem is thinking of and then creating the base, once I got a base I can roll through them like hotcakes. [editline]06:50AM[/editline] I'd also go for a match but I'd like to fight something conventional first.

no to the acronyms all together [editline]11:05PM[/editline] new army cc??
Bends, odd head turning because both ways it looks weird. [editline]07:11AM[/editline]
for aiming poses try GraphicsGale, it rotates awesomely and you can just make arms on the go [editline]12:54AM[/editline] also renamed my "plague" Deific Entity Authorized To Harm Better or was last one good?
Trying and comparing it right now. Edit: I don't like the feel of it. MS paint works, and the way I turned it looked about what it suggested looked anyways.
no to the acronyms all together [editline]11:05PM[/editline] new army cc??
Space Frogs? Awesome. Battle Toads? Awesomer.
well XD if you want to have a match i'll do it but it will have to wait till tomorrow 1:18 AM here, sorry
well XD if you want to have a match i'll do it but it will have to wait till tomorrow 1:18 AM here, sorry
same here, going to finish up what I need tomorrow.
Can anyone help me with rotating sprites in GIMP? If I do anything other than 90 degree turns the vehicles become blurry as hell. i.e. Is there an easy way to do this or will I have to redraw the vehicle every time? e: actually, looking at it, it's not totally destroyed, but still i'd like to find a way to keep it looking good.
Just hold down right mouse button and copy, but that may be only in paint.net
you could try and use Graphicsgale? It can rotate without it looking blurry... but i'm not sure if it fucks it up though...
you could try and use Graphicsgale? It can rotate without it looking blurry... but i'm not sure if it fucks it up though...
I'll give it a shot, thanks.
I'll give it a shot, thanks.
This + your avatar. :downs:
GraphicsGale is a no-go, it loses even more details than GIMP does.
This + your avatar. :downs:
Pahaha [editline]01:25PM[/editline] Oh, and before I forget. Added a couple of combat drones as per Jax's suggestion. Not sure where to go from here; I might consider it finished if I can't come up with anything else to add.
Use paint.net hold down (I dno my left from right) > mouse key and whilst holding it copy it then paste to paint
welp, here's a quick writeup of their capabilities (although hopefully that should be obvious from looking at them) This army is designed to spend the vast majority of its time underground. It has no flying units, and nearly all its units can move more-or-less freely underground thanks to the advanced drill technology utilised by the drones. Those that can't tunnel will have passages opened up for them by those that can. Drone Drill - the mainstay of the army. There'll be anywhere from two to eight of these guys in the battle at any one time. Their purpose is both making passages with its advanced drill, and the deploying and controlling of the drones. If a Drone Drill is destroyed, all the drones it is controlling go offline. They can be repaired to fighting condition if another Drone Drill picks them up, though. Pyro Drill - A heavy hitting combat unit, modified from a Drone Drill. There won't be as many of these around as their beige counterparts, but they pack quite a punch by themselves. The drone bays inside the Pyro Drill have been replaced with a large flamethrower assembly, capable of melting steel with a minimum of effort. They're prone to exploding violently if destroyed. Eject Pod - The Drills have human pilots, and if disabled they will attempt to escape in these pods until they can be rescued by drones or another Drill. Drones: Turret: Armed with a small-caliber repeating machine gun. Not very effective against anything with a modicum of armour, but a good deterrent for scouts or light infantry. They take a turn to deploy and a turn to undeploy, if they wish to move again. Comms: Unarmed and vulnerable. Allows the Drone Drill to relay messages to other armies. Combat: Just what it says on the tin. General purpose combat unit, fairly weak individually, nevertheless they can pose a threat in larger groups. Armed with a semi-automatic small-caliber gun. This and the Pyre drone are the only units that can hover, but neither can reach any significant altitude. Pyre: A modified Combat drone, mounted with a miniaturised version of the Pyro Drill's flamethrower. Can pose a significant threat to medium- and lightly-armoured units, and can melt through concrete or steel walls. Like its Drill counterpart, it commonly explodes when damaged. Scout: Very fast scouting unit (duh :P). Capable of moving at extreme speeds through underground areas. No combat capability, other than bursting through the floor and impaling some poor sod who gets in the way. Transmits info back to the Drill Drone with the antenna on the back. Also used for opening small passages, allowing the non-tunnelling drones to move about. Missile: Do you really need to ask? :P Used to counter heavy vehicles, it drills underground at high speed until it detects a target aboveground, bursting underneath the unlucky vehicle into its (normally vulnerable) underbelly and exploding.

My tablet mouse broke, and the left-click won't do anything, so I've transferred myself to the good ol' classic mouse, the one that doesn't have such a short lifespan. [s]My art may be more or less sloppy until I can figure out how to deal with this pesky wire.[/s] Oh, there it is. More or less. Never mind. But still, I forgot how unsteady these mice are. My current work in progress; Medieval Sheet- Doing the walls (a bit overdoing them, tbh.) I have to go do something right now, so I'll work on the shading and all that later.
maybe it can be an army of walls
Too scary
