well, that ship looks like a huge black mass, i suggest making it grey, then shade it as for that 'tank', if that is supposed to be shading it's very bad. infantry looks nice though, but try to give the shooting guns a muzzle flash or smoke
By smoke do you mean it coming out from the minigun or a smoke trail for the plasma shoots? And I suck at shading :c

It's because I took a darker shade of the colour he is wearing, and drew some of that paint on parts that's not in sight of the sun (imagine there is a sun on his left.) [img]http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/7607/guy3.png[/img] I have added some light where it would be appropiate to be light on him (usually you just do a reflection on where you shadowed him, so if you put shadow on his right side you put some light on his left side.) This is how it looks up close ; [media]http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/9889/guy3shadow.png[/media] It's probably confusing, I think i'm going to do a more thorough guide on how to do a simple shadowing on your pixel-armies. :) Edit ; Matt PL, that's not shading, it's putting a gradient on them. You shade when you add a lightsource and then highlight the places where the light is the brightest, and shade where there is no light available.

Look at this sprite-sheet by Shadowcat123 (I hope you don't mind me showing your sprite-sheet to show how it can be done) : [img]http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/7457/fourthreich.png[/img] Notice the shadowing, it's nothing big but it gives the sprite depth.

This is the facility empty for now it is free to be edited in the hopes someone who is really good can help make it look great. Yes that is the old colony map from before but I fixed a few little things about it :buddy:

The bazooka/RPG looks like a wrench , and the head looks odd.

Undetailed one is better , and you should make that middle something a thruster what will make it fly.

(listened to A Zombie and made the tank a bit biger and it's no more a hovertank).
Theres no shading on the flames, and it looks like you used the paintbrush tool for the body of it, for most vehicles it is probably better to use a straight line tool. Also make the thrusters a tad more defined and generally tidy it up.
