Why?
Because it has an automatic AA that you can not turn off
AA ruins sprites
Use Gimp
Um, AA Is Only on if you use The Brush tool, but not the Pencil tool.
So you can still sprite. (or at least i can, coz there isn't any AA that i can see when looking at the sprites)
It must be my monitor. It seems like everything on my monitor has a small amount of AA applied to it. I'm not using my home computer, using my cousin's laptop because I'm on a "vacation."
Any idea how to fix this? It's not just GIMP, it's opera, internet explorer, firefox, paint, everything. And I'm looking at the same sprites that looked fine on my home comp monitor.
Gonna download gimp for my spriting and pw matches anything different from mspaint i should look out for?

Lots and lots different, it's an entirely new program :v:
-Hold shift and scroll to scroll horizontally.
-Hold ctrl and scroll to zoom in or out
-hold ctrl while using the eraser or pencil and click, this is the same as the dropper but without the need to switch tools.
Most used here.
You're going to have trouble selecting colours for a while. But hey, I've used GIMP more than paint (now I never use paint) and now it's hard to get the colour I want with the paint colour selector. So you'll get used to it.

The soldiers look like sex, the tank is pretty decent too but the transport is quite bad to be honest :/
The only good way of drawing something good is to look at pictures, here's a good explosion picture for you ;

Notice how it get's alot darker the further away from the core it comes? Try to emulate that when you draw explosions (it's also a good idea not to use the original colours from ms paint or gimp, try to mix it up with custom colours) :)
make a white to orange gradient and take colors off of that
then an orange to black and make those for smoke

When I get some time i'm going to get Gimp and shade them because it's to hard to find the colors that I used in Paint.

i always keep gradient lines of my colors
But when you use the Eyedroper you can't add that color to the pallet so i can't make that color i need light/darker... with gimp i can... same with photoshop but thats got AA and i forgot how to turn it off.
