there are a lot of crazy-ass weirdos in SL, and that's coming from me.

i used to play a little bit earlier this year, and went to some furry hangout spot. i don't have many close furfag friends, so i wanted to see if i could branch off and make some new ones. i stayed in a corner of the map for a little but because i was too nervous to talk to anybody, but after a few minutes, like, straight up, [I]fifteen[/I] people all sent me messages like "hey cutie :3" or "i love ur avatar." and "wanna add me on AIM? we can talk more personally there." nUGUGAHngghh

i even explicitly stated that i was 17 and wasn't looking for sex-partners before this happened. i never logged back in.

SL is what happens when people who can't stand the real world are given a """safe""" place to try and socialize in, and that place is entirely run by users. AKA, everything goes to shit extremely fast.

There are a couple nice hangouts and definitely more than one cool art installation to explore but most of it is just horrible creppy garbage.

where was this because I have never ever had this happen. The only really weird thing that happened to me was a message i got from some guy about sniffing my feet or some shit and when I asked him "uh what?" it said he was offline.
