Oh my God, I'm such a retard for saying this, but this thread led to me figuring out that guitar chords are just made by playing the notes of it on the strings. For some idiotic reason, I've thought for a whole year that it was just putting your fingers in random positions that make it sound like a chord. Feel free to box me, I actually feel dumb for this.

That's a noble idea, but I don't think there's real knowledge about playing. You just do it and practice. And you listen to the masters and try to reach their craftsmanship (i.e., their ability, not their style/ideas, although that helps, too). Maybe some tips to avoid beginner mistakes could help but it all comes down to practice and finding your own way to efficiently reach goals...

Spaceace, a song isn't hard to everyone. For you, the stuff you learned may be hard. However, whether a song is hard or easy is subjective.
