I hated but the fact that I had to see it in 3d cause they don't offer normal and I couldn't tell what I was looking at for half the movie probably influenced that. Couldn't tell if the Beastie Boys part was genius or retarded but I loved it either way.
I prefered Into Darkness. One question I have about the new films though is why [sp] If they are 3 years into their deep space adventure thingy then why is that space station just sitting there[/sp]

That photo should have just been a pic of TOS era Spock because in this alternate timeline they mean close to nothing.[/sp]
[sp]Did you miss that the whole point of the photo was to remind Spock that the crew is his family? How would a photo of just him do that?[/sp]
what does it taste like
Like missing pieces and gimmicks
I'm so happy about this movie, it's so much closer to the Star Trek I grew up with and really enjoyed. I'm with Mike on this one, I have hope for the future movies.
I'm not shitting on his opinion, just letting him know it's incorrect.
Great job on that one, you forgot the part where you told me how its incorrect
Then there is the whole him tuning into an alien which is never explained beyond "this alien mining equipment I found can extend life" and it never explains how he just magically turns back into a human at the end so he can CONVENIENTLY blend in with the crowd only to be discovered like 5 minutes later.[/sp]
It was pretty obviously shown that [sp]he takes on the traits of the races he absorbs, turns out before the Enterprise showed up he had a healthy diet of alien, and now that he could eat some humans again he started returning to his normal form.[/sp]
Great job on that one, you forgot the part where you told me how its incorrect
That's because it is. JJ Abrams doesn't know shit about star wars, or he wouldn't have killed off han solo. The fact that we're getting movies, books, comics and whathaveyou out the ass shows how much they're trying to milk it, and almost all of it is crap. They try to dress up shit things with nostalgia. But if i was shitting on your opinion, i would have called you stupid or something.
What's the logic there?
One of the premises behind canning george in making episode 7 was that it would be a movie "for the fans." Instead, we got a remake of episode 4 with eu subplots thrown in, and a shitty death scene too. No fan would want han solo to die.
I consider myself a big Star Wars fan and I was perfectly fine with it. Better than trotting him around pointlessly for the next few movies to score nostalgia points from the fans.
Harrison Ford has been wanting the character to be killed off since Empire Strikes Back
This too.

Han Solo served no purpose after that movie. JJ was right to make the call to kill him off. It gave emotional impact to the movie by killing off a mainstay character, a character that was practically window dressing at that point, while simultaneously giving an actor that no longer wanted to play the part a good way of leaving the franchise.
The warp effect was fucking sick but the way the movie was edited made it seem like Yorktown and the planet were right next to each other.

Also are you seriously blaming a company for breathing fresh air into one of the most successful franchises in history?
Well, you might have to watch the first movie to understand how the universe came about, but you can totally skip into darkness.
Honestly my favorite part of the film is how none of ID is referenced [sp]just the longrange torpedo Scotty uses[/sp]

Though I read that they killed him off to make an impact, to show people were not invincible because they're heroes.
he killed off my favorite character whos actor could barely get around the set without breaking all of his legs and almost dying 50 times
shoulda gone to the Emperor Palpatine Surgical Reconstruction Center and got himself some new legs...
Good joke, tell me another.
lol Have you even seen this movie? I guess not going by your other posts but you'd like it but instead of seeing it you'd rather shitpost about how awful JJ abrams is even though he didn't direct this one.
lol its like you're wilfully ignoring its universal fan praise? i don't even think you live in this universes reality
most of the fan base is divided on the film, some on the "well it's better than the prequels" train, and others on the "it's alright" train. shit, even pablo hidalgo rates it 5th best. so obviously the film doesn't have this universal praise you speak of. the problem is the minority that scream "wah originals are the best, prequels are cancer of the earth and george lucas should be ashamed of destroying something that was his to begin with" are the loudest voices heard by disney/lucasfilm.
