Shit, wrong thread.
This will go good with my John Freeman playthrough of the game.
That is some Antoine Delak nonsense going on there
I just realized what he meant by that night in the park a year ago.... But this is probably better then the original animations.
If you play as the girl she's fucking mean about it "Why, so you can get me pregnant again?"
this is oddly charming to me
this is oddly charming to me
I'd actually like to see how it looks when toned down a little bit would be neat to see super expressive animations that don't clip into themselves
GO AY-WAY I'm glad I picked the female PC
GO AY-WAY I'm glad I picked the female PC
The voice actor is good but I actually switched from the female PC to the male one just because the way the game integrates her into the story makes zero sense lore-wise. Like, okay the male PC can get by in the apocalypse because he's a fucking former soldier and that also probably explains why he knows how to use power armor. Heck, he's probably a better marksman than anyone because of his pre-war training. The female PC has... a law degree. When I heard that on the holotape Nate made to you it was the straw that broke the camel's back for me immersion-wise. At least in New Vegas you could create any character as the Courier and it'd still work RP-wise.
I figured he just trained his wife in how to operate firearms. Or in my case since I named her Eva (some MGS3 spoilers ahead) [sp]She's actually a Chinese Spy, and married him only to have access to military bases. She is actually destined to take over China, and the entire "Shaun" thing is only a ruse to throw people off, "Shaun" is actually a code word for the equipment to contact her Chinese handlers. She knew ahead of time what Vault 111 was supposed to do, and she was supposed to exit and make China great again[/sp]/
iirc military training isn't very accuracy intensive, similar to police training you really just need to know how to operate your weapons correctly and if you can plug some holes into the broad side of a barn unless the pc was a marksman of some sort
Since he was evidently infantry I'm pretty sure he would've had to have been a capable marksman. That said it's not like the female PC would be the first time in Fallout the protagonist being insanely capable wouldn't make sense. In Fallout 3 you're a 19 year old kid fresh out of the vault who isn't implied to have really had much training with firearms other than plinking with a BB gun.
their cousin
I always found it great how Max spends the gritty, noir game about shooting criminals with a face that looks like he dropped a load in his pants.

He apparently served in the 108th Infantry Regiment's 2nd Battalion.
Before getting the holotape I just imagined that they met in the army and that she was a sniper or something.
I really wish that's what they would have gone with.
I was under the impression that if you decide to pick a female main character then she assumes the military role. They never directly state who was in the military in the beginning. It's just implied because the guy is getting ready to go give a speech for some military stuff. Where is this law degree stuff coming from because I never heard anything about it.

If you're the male character and activate the law degree he will say "I'm so proud of her". I forgot what the female character says about it and I forgot what both of them say about the military commendation. [editline]23rd November 2015[/editline] Also the holotape Codsworth gives to the player comments on it depending on the sex you chose.

I don't know about male characters but that's another source of the law degree.
im saying being trained in the military doesn't mean you'll be a crackshot, the standards are fairly low in the us all things considered
the power armor training is the bigger deal anyway since you know, in every previous game it was a really big deal that you needed special training to use power armor properly
the power armor training is the bigger deal anyway since you know, in every previous game it was a really big deal that you needed special training to use power armor properly
Except in Fallout 3 with Operation Anchorage, then you just needed to run a simulation of an old battle (that didn't even involve you wearing power armour) to figure out how to use it on your own.
[sp]You're enlisted into the Constitutional Army because of your veteran background.[/sp]
Ah, that makes sense. [sp]They decided I was "adequate" and said it was my duty as an American to join them, even though I'm a lawyer.[/sp]
and the fallout 2 character is from some tribe that has literally no guns and has probably had no training with them whatsoever like who gives a shit man, at least criticize the game on actual faults
In Fallout 2 you start out with a really low skill in guns (maximum possible is 65% if you absolutely optimize for it, which basicly means under IDEAL conditions this is the percentage of how many shots will land with anything) and don't get a gun at all in the beginning. FO2 starting characters are nowhere near as good with guns as you are in pretty much any FPS Fallout.
