Wow, I was so close to getting a Canon XSI today. Damn, now I have to wait even longer to get it.
I uvw mapped it and added a little bevel. The idea originally started off as a 3 wheeled vehicle. Now it's most likely going to be 4 wheels. It's going to be a Red Faction: Geurilla style vehicle. Most likely a citizen/Red Faction type. I might make it have some Marauder/EDF stylistic additions. I need some C&C guiz. I'd love to hear suggestions about where I should go from here.
A quick WIP, I may finisih it some time.

Hey, that's pretty neat. In what programs do you work?

Didn't you make two threads for this?
Hey, that's pretty neat. In what programs do you work?
The 1st image is MS Paint. The 2nd image is MS Paint and GIMP. The 3rd image is a traditional drawing (pencil) with the some effects and touching up in GIMP.
@DOG-GY: The wheels look super-bland, try adding some interesting details (small bumps, holes, that kind of stuff) to fit the mood and lore of what you're aiming for. @mynames2long: The only interesting thing about it is the earth for the eye. Unless it was supposed to be a minimalistic logo-thing for some Indian-preserving organization or something, it's a 5-minute job with a line brush. @Ausare: I love your Paint jobs. I like the ninja, but you could drop some of the Glows and kept to the pixeled style. Also the background is kind of meh. And I really like the last one, but I'd prefer it with normal background. I think this thread has too little opinion-givers.
I finally got a tablet yesterday and just got it set up about 10 minutes ago, this was the first thing I drew (in about 10 seconds). It's bad I know but I haven't really drawn anything in about a month. I call him Jeff the Jellyfish. :3 EDIT: Only one dumb? Come on guys I tried really hard on this one.
It's absolutely incredible.

Oh and I didn't use the line tool at all [editline]08:56PM[/editline] I'm happy for you about the tablet, but why did you post this?
Pretty much the first picture i've actually put a little effort into. Tell me what I did wrong.

That's what texture and normal map are for.

Ha, needs moar refractionzzzz. But absolutely nice job for a paint ... painting.
Why do people even post "first" and "haven't drew in months" creations. We're not interested in the backstory (unless the piece is very complex), if the art is weak, it's weak. This is directed at Jeff the Jellyfish, haven't noticed the 2nd page.

You should start resizin or image taggin, Jedi. Not bad pics, seems like there's bad lighting on the car though.
Jesus christ resize that
I'm not the world's most experienced photographer but I think what you did wrong is have the subject dead centre of the image, and it fills almost all the space. Sometimes it being in the centre works, but I think on this occasion it's what's wrong. Some of the best photos I've seen have the subject in one of the thirds, you can line it up on your camera if you press the display button until you see a grid (but you probably know this) Also, I read somewhere that you'll get better photos if you try to include objects to give the viewer a sense of depth but I think you wouldn't need that on a close-up like this. Also, the angle you take the picture from makes a big difference. I went through my photos to find one example (and luckily I have one) See how much better this one: is than this photo of the same flower but how you did it: Also, I like this one of a subject in the centre: See the space around it?

You can have a grid on the camera? I always just use the focus points as guideance to keep stuff straight and get it around the rules of third. And the best method for having things in the center is to keep some space around it, and keep both sides relatively similar. If it's a skull on the right side but a butterfly on the left it will just be bothersome, if it's skulls on both sides it can look neat. [O]
Jesus christ resize that
Jesus Christ has nothing to do with my photo's, but I'll put the thumbnails for them up. Sometimes I forget that some people don't have as big of a resolution as I do.
You should start resizin or image taggin, Jedi. If you check my post again there's a bit more detail there. Also, dgg, are you being sarcastic or are you actually surprised? Oh and I'm on 22" 1680x1050 too and have no problems whatsoever. And yes, I realise I posted those pictures in the old thread but I think they're good examples.
Im on a 22" monitor @ 1680x1050 and it's still a bitch to scroll
Well that's great, but you have no need to complain anymore, they are thumbnailed.
can't you just use [img_thumb][/img_thumb] or does that not work now? @Blutsauger were you using your camera's macro function? Might want to do if you haven't, it looks a little out of focus.
JEDI RAYNE'S LARGE PICTURES
The first one is okay, nothing made me go wow. The second one, i felt like it was really sloppy. You could of at least washed the car a bit made it look somewhat presentable. And the lighting was really bad.And you had that other car in the background so that attracts attention away from you're main subject. Still a nice car none the less. I've done a few car shots myself. I did these right after washing it. See the difference. These are not the best photos, but it shows what a little washing can do. ^^Good examples of what I was talking about, leaving space around the main subject. Anyway, I have to go to bed because it's late so I'll stop annoying you all for a while :)
Mr-X, I like the second one but the first one seems over exposed.
