Reference - photo. I'd rather have used a real model but lack of people in my vicinity that have time to sit for several hours while I draw forced me to use the photo from my mate's Myspace.

About 4 hours to draw, all up.

The focus is the chapstick, and yet you have selective saturation somewhere completely irrelevant.

Tip: Try to keep the subject as the only thing your eyes are drawn to, typically. For example make it the only thing with color (overdone hipster photography trick), or blur everything else through the use of DoF or manual gaussian blur in photoshop.

Of course rules are meant to be broken in certain cases.
