I don't really work with Final Cut. Do you like it more then Avid? Oh and yeah think so :P I like to have the rooms where I work just plain white.
I hate using after effects on a mac but having it on the mac with final cut will allow you to use certain codecs that you can't do without.

Hello! I'm working on a video so i just felt like giving you what i have so far so you can give me some advice cause i think there's some parts that can be discussed. http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1650946/Mass%20Physics.mov Give it some time to load, it's a 295MB file. Normally it's 1280/720 but here i scaled it down to 640/360. The guy who "invented" this is anothermartz. The thread about it is here. I'll probably add very little grain and some edge feathering to the intro where it's black white. Adding some pics so you know what you're waiting for.
I hear that AVID is pretty much on it's way out, any substance to this?
Nothing I've heard, it's still a pretty popular professional level program in Broadcast editing circles

Will update this post with football pictures after I get back from another game. I'm finally going to be able to use a DSLR, a Canon XT at that. Awesome stuff.
Rebels are awesome :]
Yep, and for the first time in my 3 months of photography I get to use a DSLR. I'm surprised myself that I even get good shots with a point and shoot, and I also got the manual thing down with the DSLR so I have no worries.
