Is the thing the lady is sitting on in the first photo some sort of art piece?
An attractive model! Wow Brian, I never thought you could do it. Let me be the first to say, thank you.

And I'm fucking amazed that I actually got that 4th photo, I'm pretty much speechless about it at the moment.
Can I ask why you use slow sync flash so much ? No, im not hating... But yeah ;
That's the look my pics have? My preference. People like certain soda... people like certain cakes. I like my drunken nights to presented like I see em, blurry with parts in focus.
You're so cool! Oh my god!!!! You are just so awesome how do you do it?
no need to be a pompous dick
yeah brian some of them are nice photos but you have a tendency to shoot unattractive models
Can you explain to me what is going on in the first shot?
He's calling lost and found for the rest of his chair, obv.
yeah brian some of them are nice photos but you have a tendency to shoot unattractive models
They aren't models they usually never are. You guys have an expectation that because they are in a photo they are models. No one bitches that your friends aren't models why do mine have to be? Pretty rude to just claim I have to only take pictures of top shelf girls while you guys can run around snapping away with your ugly friends all day.
An attractive model! Wow Brian, I never thought you could do it. Let me be the first to say, thank you.
That was a pretty dickheaded statement. Plenty of Brian's models are attractive. And Brian, we tend to say that someone is a "model" if you're shooting them. They aren't a professional model, we know. At least, that's how I am. My friends aren't models but when I'm shooting them they are.
Excessive use of highlights warning... But if only i know how. There we go. Its not exactly a 'hightlight', but its red.
I'm getting my 50mm on Wednesday :) yay! Lol!
I need a nice 50mm with a wide aperture. I use a d40. Any suggestions?

It's a fact that zoom lenses don't bring the great amount of sharpness that you can get from a prime lens. Not to mention the great price.

The problem with the d40 (and my sole reason for upgrading soon) is that it doesn't have an AF motor built into the body, so I'm restricted to using AF lenses that have the motor inside. I could buy it and use it for manual-focus only, but I'm not sure. I just love the crispness that comes from a prime. Although I wouldn't say they're 'better' than a zoom, they just have different pros and cons.
it's a bear outside of this candy store in huntington beach it's been there forever
Tight! I hope it's at least clean. Is it respected?
Tight! I hope it's at least clean. Is it respected?
No one except tourists touch the bear, then again even they don't do anything bad to it. They just put their arms around it while sitting down with the bear. Huntington beach is a really nice place, so I wouldn't really expect anyone to do anything bad to it in public, especially since it's in the middle of a bunch of restaurants and stores. A moderately long exposure shot of Gatorade and a moving iPod? Keep trying. Remember the elements of art and all that stuff.

(And do friends let you take photos of their vajayjays like some of your previous work?) [editline]04:49PM[/editline] BRIAN: While you often take nice photos with unattractive main focuses, you seem to be completely unable to handle any sort of criticism, constructive or otherwise.
