But please don't be one of those people that always takes shots on angles...
That doesn't always work out.
I agree, I even believe my first shot (the church) is at an awkward angle.

The church shot is at an interesting angle.

Yeah, i understand. I'll try working on my composition as you said before.
The last pic feels incomplete since the bottom of the extension to the house is slightly cut off.
Work on your composition...
Also learn Rule of Thirds, the Golden Rule, and how to keep a shot uncluttered.
As well as lines, patterns, and movement.
what happened with jetlithe one. First he's all clueless with photography now he's chattin like he knows it all. (Which he doesn't)

Actually I don't know it all.
I said composition.
And it's not like I just take pictures. I read up on all the techniques...
I wouldn't say what isn't fact.

And obviously it was taken with my usual point and shoot, but I did get the Canon XT for the weekend yet again. So this time my adventures will be at Laguna beach.

I'm off to bed now.
just tuck a folded sheet of printer paper in with your camera so you always have at least that.
it's also a good idea to do that for white balance as well

There are basic guidelines that most people follow and usually produce the best results.

I've noticed myself that my shots aren't very creative and tomorrow I intend to explore and experiment a little more but once again, C&C please.

All the empty space on the left causes to composition to be a bit unbalanced.

Disagree. Fits perfectly within the rule of thirds.

It does fit the rule of thirds, but it isn't a very interesting shot.

just because it's in the rule of thirds does not make it impervious to being bare on the far far left

some do some don't, i don't think it's really all that bad, just that it's something to note.
however i feel that, with both pictures, the contrast is way too high, but i also know that everyone has monitors set differently. mine's calibrated, so i have to assume his is fucked up
M_B and Jelit stop arguing.
