for contrast, having black black is good, but you still want to be able to see things, and you want bright things to be visible and look natural. just go easy on the contrast.

moretrippy is better, but overall i think they both look really, idk... empty. You took a black background and used the paint brush and stopped there.
I know you're trying to make it look like the 1 and 7 are leaving a rainbow trail thing behind them, but it doesn't convey that. It looks more like a poorly shappen rainbow cirlce with a 17 slapped in front of it. Notsotrippy just has a giant blank purple spot and it breaks the flow. Also, if the whole thing were more centered, it would look better.
I'm not being negative, just giving an honest and hopefully helpful opinion.

Start with the first!
The first composition isn't very well done. It's you average "myspace camera angle" with unflattering lighting. Try using more creative angles or just ones that don't look like they're taken in front of a mirror or by yourself in general; it's overdone.
With the zombie editing, you could have put a little more effort into the shading and lighting. Mostly everything is a flat, semi-transparent brushwork on yourself.
You're capable of doing good work, you just have to keep at it.

Yeah Thanks. i have only really been getting into editing pictures in the last month or so. I was concentrating more on trying to add blood and make it look natural and i just didnt really bother with the shading and lighting.
