Aren't muscles sort of like hydraulics anyway? Don't they still use blood to expand/contract them?
Yeah, no.
Aren't muscles sort of like hydraulics anyway? Don't they still use blood to expand/contract them?
Exactly. That's why whenever you cut your leg too deeply if you don't hold it damn still blood shoots everywhere in a hot crimson jet.
Exactly. That's why whenever you cut your leg too deeply if you don't hold it damn still blood shoots everywhere in a hot crimson jet.
From Wiki: "Muscles are predominately powered by the oxidation of fats and carbohydrates, but anaerobic chemical reactions are also used, particularly by fast twitch fibers. These chemical reactions produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP) molecules which are used to power the movement of the myosin heads."
Starfish aren't arthropods. Wikipedia says some arthropods do, such as spiders, but doesn't go into detail about it.
aren't spiders arachnids?
hydraulics.
Really shows how stupid GD is; The correct answer is nearing 100 funnies what the fuck
Bullshit, I got a cut on my arm and bled to death once.
Blood carries oxygen to the parts of your body. Nearly every part of your body has capilaries to diliver the blood to the organ/tissue. Note how it says oxigenation of fat. Take a biology class.
How do the little crabs' muscles work?
Atomic crabs
I love crabs, if only the main body wasn't such a bitch to eat.

What I find more amazing is that crabs (take the Japanese spider crab for instance) can actually walk underwater under the force of gravity, and the pressure of all of that water without actually having their legs directly underneath them, but instead having their spindly, weak looking legs sticking out at the sides.
aren't spiders arachnids?
Yes but arachnids, along with crustaceans and insects, and maybe something else, are all arthropods.
