How big is your spoon? I found a couple of really beautiful ones on Etsy, but they're only 3 inches long (7,5cm) :v:
mine is 10cm and it's the perfect length, imo. it's easy to look into the bowl as i'm lighting it and it ain't no nose-burner.
make sure to get one where the bowl isn't so large that you can't put it out by holding the lighter ontop, it gets annoying.

what's weird about that?
people are just buying scales and zipped plastic bags for weighing cooking ingredients
right?
Who's watched The Culture High? Is it any good?
One of the reviews on the plastic bags said something like:
"The bags are quite small which is quite restrictive of what you can use them for - Perhaps they are a good way to store small amounts of herbs and spices?"
drunk as a skunk but I can still type

well, she is probably going to end up trying it eventually whether you want her to or not, and if you think she can handle it without going crazy with it and feel it would be safer for her to try it with you around i'd say you might have the perfect christmas gift
Who's watched The Culture High? Is it any good?
I was a backer for the kick starter (My name is in the credits yay). I watched it as soon as it came out and I have to say the movie is... OK. What do I mean by ok, well it has it's ups and downs. The film is about marijuana general, like seriously, you could rename this movie to 'weed the social construction plant' because the movie talks about how weed has all of these impacts on society whether it be caused by the plant itself or society. This thing is 2 hours long, pretty lengthy and has a ton, I mean a ton of info. This film is very good at not only touching base on a lot of subjects but giving the viewer a small root of info to grab onto to that then should get you to research yourself the rest of the info. The movie talks about everything (the police, pharmaceutical company, medicine, politics, society, stigma, censorship, etc) regarding pot, so many big topics that, to be honest, is just too much for one movie. I get it, we needed a movie to show all of the social aspects affected by weed, and it does a good job of being a sociologically heavy documentary, however it loses a main message of the movie. You know how after The Union you were left with a general message that was complete like "the union shows the underground business of getting high and how its here to stay". Well, this film is more like "the culture high shows how weed is kinda ok and we should realize by now how much of a shit head we all are about and yeah these people are keeping us down". It's just less of a centralized message that brings down my review of the doc.
To be honest, most of the info in the film I already knew, regarding the sociological impacts and reasons why other interests keep it illegal and such. As much as this film teaches you it also has it's clear agenda which I feel like could have easily been toned down in the script. What I mean by this is that there are MANY times where they present some actual information, lets say about pharmaceutical companies paying docs to attend a convention to be sold drugs, and then follow the scene up with snoop dog saying something like "yeah man its fucked up". Thanks snoop dog, I didn't know that doctors being turned into drug dealers is a bad thing. Its little scenes like that where they give you actually good info, only to follow it up with fluff like a celebrity literally just re-iterating the info they just told you into a layman response that adds nothing to the conversation. This stuff gets under my skin so it really brought down my opinion of the film, but that doesn't mean there are some good nuggets of knowledge in there.
Here's the thing, does it have good info to educate the general public on the issue, absolutely. Does it have its own agenda and is slightly poisoned by it, absolutely. Does it encourage you to then go and take a deeper look at the subject on your own, absolutely. Will this help someone who is ignorant about the subject, absolutely. But will it convince a hardcore prohibitionist, unlikely because of the way it attacks prohibition-ism. It is a well put together film as it goes from major point to major point, but it suffers by trying to interject its own opinion at the very crucial times when the viewer should have a moment to make their own opinion on the subject. By having celebs do the shit I mentioned earlier it raises that red flag of 'wow this film straight up just paid this person to say that sentence". This is supposed to add more weight to a subject that has enough significance on its own but instead it makes the info seem a little less genuine.
In the end this is an ok documentary, but a good movie to simply exist. It's another powerful tool to help convey the message that the drug problem is a society problem that needs everyone's help. It does what it should do, give you some good roots of information that says "hey weed has impact on X, Y, and Z, here is some info about it, but this is a fluid discussion so you should then take this info, go to google and look around and see more about what we're talking about". You will see there is some anger and frustration in this film (there is literally a sob story in it that really kills the subject for me because it could have been done is such a less dramatic and more convincing fashion) which is understandable since prohibition has wrecked so many lives, but c'mon keep it a little less "fuck the establishment" please, no one likes that type of soapbox crap. Overall good doc, but has it's serious flaws that keep it from being THE doc that it tried so hard, maybe too hard to be.
you must have felt great returning that dog
It did, now the family should be at ease. I finally would have been able to sleep then if everyone with me weren't planning on going hiking then, but I made it through the day and wasn't too bad of a day to be on little sleep.

Thanks, I didn't mean to whom, but indeed I did whom.
He couldn't figure out how to properly use teflon tape. He actually couldn't unscrew a faucet, I had to do that, and take it all apart. Then I had to put in the water lines for him, because he fucked up the tape and he didn't put the rubber washer in there, so it was leaking.
I guess I should have done it all, but I figured he could handle it. I was also supposed to take him to rewrite his beginners, but he was too busy playing video games to get up and go. The place is about 40+ minutes from here, then he needs time to write it. He finally said ok lets go, at an hour to closing.
What a guy. At least we got the sink done, I would be getting bitched at about him not doing his tasks, while he hides away on his computer.

Wiser's deluxe all the way, even the hangover is kind of enjoyable.
Jack Daniels is my go to. I can practically chug a bottle.

I have an issue with booze, where once I have a drink, I have all of the drinks. I'll have a casual glass with ice, then next thing I know, I've had a bunch of glasses, and my bottle is empty. I sometimes barely get drunk from it as well.
I love alcohol. I've only felt a hangover once, and it wasn't that strong.
What are people's thoughts on hooking up with an ex you had a fairly amicable break up with?

I've done it. It didn't really change a thing for me. Not sure how it was on her, as she soon went back to her province.
But, it was good sex all in all. Sex is sex, so long as you both have a good time, what's the bother?

My friend recently got a bong. I thought there was something seriously wrong with me for a while; when I suddenly realized that because I have facial hair, I have to press it a lot tighter against my face, to avoid all the air coming in through my mustache and such.
i got high as fuck last night and left some weed in the woods, brb hunting for it

i just woke up and found out i've got the whole house to myself. blasting these tunes, that someone on tinychat showed me a few days ago, and considering having a wake n bake sesh.
looks like i'll be starting work tomorrow...
missed the call cause I thought it was one of my friends trying to chase me down after I said I couldn't do something with them today /idiots always do that to me
now i have to call back to pick up the shift but my personal motivation is, beyond, dead.
i've been lethargic all day, at points just lying in bed for upwards of two hours without having any will to move,
fuckin weird. I shall call back shortly, I think
[editline]21st October 2014[/editline]
shoulda called sooner, the one for tomorrow got covered by the time I called,
but i'm starting next week, so that's a load off
[editline]21st October 2014[/editline]
actually i think it works out better for me if I start next week;
got a roll coming up this weekend which should hopefully unfunk me a bit
and back on meds as of next tuesday so
i think it's worked out pretty fine
I'm getting worried that if I stay in business school then work in business I'll fall apart at some point when I realize that none of this is really all that enjoyable.
