Basically, what you can understand from the fact his dad was/is a bodybuilder, is that he's got a good gene pool. Not everybody can be a IFBB PRO (Assuming he probably got his pro card?) If the form is off, then it for the most part, will effect the skeletal muscles. Besides, adolescents wouldn't lift much anyway to cause any bone or tendon damage. Unless, they train themselves how to spaz uncontrollably. Weighted.

lifting copious amounts of weight forces your body firmly onto the hard ground compacting your joints (especially those in your spine which compact throughout the day anyways) which never properly return to proper form unless you rest for 3 days (most rest for 2) thus making it so you don't reach your full growth potential or "stunting your growth." It happened to me, I started lifting at age 13 one day I had some joint pain so I went to the doctor and he opened the door, got on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur.
