I actually like ironsights when their only purpose is to help you focus and not to keep the bullets you fire from traveling at a 90-degree angle
i only like ironsights on realistic games
Because if I get shot 3 times in the face with a shotgun, im gonna be all better in 5 seconds.

Only because you're DUKE FUCKING NUKEM.

Hey realism is nothing compared to fun. If you want realism go outside or the other boring things people do in rl.

>implying that games without regenerating health have to be realistic

I think the reviewer is trying to cater to the newer "shittier" generation of gamers (if you can call them that, personally I like to just think of em as console fanboys)
Seriously, what do you hear when you talk about games nowadays?
Lets face it guys, a true gamer is a dying breed. It makes me sad
I 100% agree. I actually lost a great deal of interest in gaming in the past couple of years due to games such as Call of Duty. Games these days do not understand what made games good.
I believe Duke Nukem Forever was made for the fans of the first one and what you call a "true gamer". It doesn't need to stand up against games such as Call of Duty or Halo because that wasn't its goal. Its goal was to please the fans by bringing back an amazing game (hopefully it is good keeps true to the original Duke Nukem).
Hopefully this shows the "shittier generation of gamers" that just games don't have to follow popular games such as Call of Duty and Halo.

Says the guy with a mass effect 2 avatar what the FUCK
What's wrong with ironsights? You always bitch about autoaim and ironsights are more accurate than just firing from the hip.
I sincerely hope you realize that game developers can choose how accurate the guns in their games are, regardless of ironsights.
Shooting from the hip I think its funnier. It allows you to run and gun more.
How is that funny?
The expression you're looking for is "more fun".
No it's an advancement. It lets devs always know how much health the player will have at the start of an encounter, therefor can design them better. It also doesn't make you have to restart a level because some mistake that made you lose a bunch of health in the middle of a fight.
The downside to regenerating health is that it removes a lot of the exploration you had to do in earlier games, good designers will add other things you can find by exploring though.
No its an easy cop out, if you design the game right, aka L4D2, HL2 there will always be health packs in the right place, right time. Regenerating health is simply an easier way to design games, but is it the right way ?
I can tell DNF will be as much about tactics as gay pornography will be about vaginas. I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy DNF for a long time.
